Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat,
好飲酒的，好吃肉的，不要與他們來往；

In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.
Your eyes will see strange sights, and your mind will imagine confusing things.
You will be like one sleeping on the high seas, lying on top of the rigging.
"They hit me," you will say, "but I'm not hurt! They beat me, but I don't feel it! When will I wake up so I can find another drink?"
誰有禍患？誰有憂愁？誰有爭鬥？誰有哀嘆（或作：怨言）？誰無故受傷？誰眼目紅赤？
就是那流連飲酒、常去尋找調和酒的人。
酒發紅，在杯中閃爍，你不可觀看，雖然下咽舒暢，終久是咬你如蛇，刺你如毒蛇。
你眼必看見異怪的事（或作：淫婦）；你心必發出乖謬的話。
你必像躺在海中，或像臥在桅杆上。
你必說：人打我，我卻未受傷；人鞭打我，我竟不覺得。我幾時清醒，我仍去尋酒。
以賽亞書 5:11
Woe to those who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks, who stay up late at night till they are inflamed with wine.
禍哉！那些清早起來追求濃酒，留連到夜深，甚至因酒發燒的人。
哈巴谷書 2:15
"Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors, pouring it from the wineskin till they are drunk, so that he can gaze on their naked bodies!
給人酒喝、又加上毒物、使他喝醉、好看見他下體的有禍了！
羅馬書 13:13
Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.
行事為人要端正，好像行在白晝。不可荒宴醉酒，不可好色邪蕩，不可爭競嫉妒；

申命記 14:26

箴言 31:4
It is not for kings, Lemuel- it is not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer,

They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you.
But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
