keeping you from your neighbor's wife, from the smooth talk of a wayward woman.
Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes.
For a prostitute can be had for a loaf of bread, but another man's wife preys on your very life.
Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned?
Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched?
能保你遠離惡婦，遠離外女諂媚的舌頭。
你心中不要戀慕他的美色，也不要被他眼皮勾引。
因為，妓女能使人只剩一塊餅；淫婦獵取人寶貴的生命。
人若懷裡搋火，衣服豈能不燒呢？
人若在火炭上走，腳豈能不燙呢？
哥林多前書 6:18
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.
你們要逃避淫行。人所犯的，無論什麼罪，都在身子以外，惟有行淫的，是得罪自己的身子。
帖撒羅尼迦前書 4:3

It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;
that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable,
not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God;
神的旨意就是要你們成為聖潔，遠避淫行；
要你們各人曉得怎樣用聖潔、尊貴守著自己的身體。
不放縱私慾的邪情，像那不認識神的外邦人。

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.
Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands,
like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.
Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
你們不要以外面的辮頭髮，戴金飾，穿美衣為妝飾，
只要以裡面存著長久溫柔，安靜的心為妝飾；這在神面前是極寶貴的。
因為古時仰賴神的聖潔婦人正是以此為妝飾，順服自己的丈夫，
就如撒拉聽從亞伯拉罕，稱他為主。你們若行善，不因恐嚇而害怕，便是撒拉的女兒了。
你們作丈夫的，也要按情理﹝原文作知識﹞和妻子同住；因他比你軟弱，（比你軟弱：原文作是軟弱的器皿）與你一同承受生命之恩的，所以要敬重他。這樣，便叫你們的禱告沒有阻礙。
