撒母耳記上 7:4
So the Israelites put away their Baals and Ashtoreths, and served the Lord only.
以色列人就除掉諸巴力和亞斯他錄，單單地事奉耶和華。
耶利米書 2:8
The priests did not ask, 'Where is the Lord?' Those who deal with the law did not know me; the leaders rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal, following worthless idols.
祭司都不說，耶和華在那裡呢？傳講律法的都不認識我。官長違背我；先知藉巴力說預言，隨從無益的神。
列王記下 17:16
They forsook all the commands of the Lord their God and made for themselves two idols cast in the shape of calves, and an Asherah pole. They bowed down to all the starry hosts, and they worshiped Baal.

耶利米書 7:9
" 'Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury, burn incense to Baal and follow other gods you have not known,

列王記下 23:5
He did away with the idolatrous priests appointed by the kings of Judah to burn incense on the high places of the towns of Judah and on those around Jerusalem-those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and moon, to the constellations and to all the starry hosts.
從前猶大列王所立拜偶像的祭司，在猶大城邑的邱壇和耶路撒冷的周圍燒香，現在王都廢去，又廢去向巴力和日、月、行星（或作：十二宮），並天上萬象燒香的人；

"In that day," declares the Lord, "you will call me 'my husband'; you will no longer call me 'my master. '
I will remove the names of the Baals from her lips; no longer will their names be invoked.

因為我必從我民的口中除掉諸巴力的名號，這名號不再提起。
士師記 6:25

That same night the Lord said to him, "Take the second bull from your father's herd, the one seven years old. Tear down your father's altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole6:25That is, a wooden symbol of the goddess Asherah; also in verses 26, 28 and 30 beside it.
Then build a proper kind of altar to the Lord your God on the top of this height. Using the wood of the Asherah pole that you cut down, offer the second6:26Or full-grown; also in verse 28 bull as a burnt offering."
So Gideon took ten of his servants and did as the Lord told him. But because he was afraid of his family and the townspeople, he did it at night rather than in the daytime.
In the morning when the people of the town got up, there was Baal's altar, demolished, with the Asherah pole beside it cut down and the second bull sacrificed on the newly built altar!
They asked each other, "Who did this?" When they carefully investigated, they were told, "Gideon son of Joash did it."
The people of the town demanded of Joash, "Bring out your son. He must die, because he has broken down Baal's altar and cut down the Asherah pole beside it."
But Joash replied to the hostile crowd around him, "Are you going to plead Baal's cause? Are you trying to save him? Whoever fights for him shall be put to death by morning! If Baal really is a god, he can defend himself when someone breaks down his altar."
So because Gideon broke down Baal's altar, they gave him the name Jerub-Baal that day, saying, "Let Baal contend with him."
當那夜，耶和華吩咐基甸說：「你取你父親的牛來，就是（或作：和）那七歲的第二隻牛，並拆毀你父親為巴力所築的壇，砍下壇旁的木偶，
在這磐石（原文作保障）上整整齊齊地為耶和華你的神築一座壇，將第二隻牛獻為燔祭，用你所砍下的木偶作柴。」
基甸就從他僕人中挑了十個人，照著耶和華吩咐他的行了。他因怕父家和本城的人，不敢在白晝行這事，就在夜間行了。
城裡的人清早起來，見巴力的壇拆毀，壇旁的木偶砍下，第二隻牛獻在新築的壇上，
就彼此說：「這事是誰做的呢？」他們訪查之後，就說：「這是約阿施的兒子基甸做的。」
城裡的人對約阿施說：「將你兒子交出來，好治死他；因為他拆毀了巴力的壇，砍下壇旁的木偶。」
約阿施回答站著攻擊他的眾人說：「你們是為巴力爭論嗎？你們要救他嗎？誰為他爭論，趁早將誰治死！巴力若果是神，有人拆毀他的壇，讓他為自己爭論吧！」
所以當日人稱基甸為耶路巴力，意思說：「他拆毀巴力的壇，讓巴力與他爭論。」
耶利米書 23:13
"Among the prophets of Samaria I saw this repulsive thing: They prophesied by Baal and led my people Israel astray.
我在撒瑪利亞的先知中曾見愚妄；他們藉巴力說預言，使我的百姓以色列走錯了路。

After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.
Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord and served the Baals.
They forsook the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them. They aroused the Lord's anger
because they forsook him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.
In his anger against Israel the Lord gave them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist.
Whenever Israel went out to fight, the hand of the Lord was against them to defeat them, just as he had sworn to them. They were in great distress.
Then the Lord raised up judges, who saved them out of the hands of these raiders.
Yet they would not listen to their judges but prostituted themselves to other gods and worshiped them. They quickly turned from the ways of their ancestors, who had been obedient to the Lord's commands.
Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived; for the Lord relented because of their groaning under those who oppressed and afflicted them.
But when the judge died, the people returned to ways even more corrupt than those of their ancestors, following other gods and serving and worshiping them. They refused to give up their evil practices and stubborn ways.
Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and said, "Because this nation has violated the covenant I ordained for their ancestors and has not listened to me,
I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations Joshua left when he died.
I will use them to test Israel and see whether they will keep the way of the Lord and walk in it as their ancestors did."
The Lord had allowed those nations to remain; he did not drive them out at once by giving them into the hands of Joshua.
那世代的人也都歸了自己的列祖。後來有別的世代興起，不知道耶和華，也不知道耶和華為以色列人所行的事。
以色列人行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，去事奉諸巴力，
離棄了領他們出埃及地的耶和華他們列祖的神，去叩拜別神，就是四圍列國的神，惹耶和華發怒；
並離棄耶和華，去事奉巴力和亞斯他錄。
耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，就把他們交在搶奪他們的人手中，又將他們付與四圍仇敵的手中，甚至他們在仇敵面前再不能站立得住。
他們無論往何處去，耶和華都以災禍攻擊他們，正如耶和華所說的話，又如耶和華向他們所起的誓；他們便極其困苦。
耶和華興起士師，士師就拯救他們脫離搶奪他們人的手。
他們卻不聽從士師，竟隨從叩拜別神，行了邪淫，速速地偏離他們列祖所行的道，不如他們列祖順從耶和華的命令。
耶和華為他們興起士師，就與那士師同在。士師在世的一切日子，耶和華拯救他們脫離仇敵的手。他們因受欺壓擾害，就哀聲歎氣，所以耶和華後悔了。
及至士師死後，他們就轉去行惡，比他們列祖更甚，去事奉叩拜別神，總不斷絕頑梗的惡行。
於是耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作。他說：「因這民違背我吩咐他們列祖所守的約，不聽從我的話，
所以約書亞死的時候所剩下的各族，我必不再從他們面前趕出，
為要藉此試驗以色列人，看他們肯照他們列祖謹守遵行我的道不肯。」
這樣耶和華留下各族，不將他們速速趕出，也沒有交付約書亞的手。
列王記下 21:3
He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had destroyed; he also erected altars to Baal and made an Asherah pole, as Ahab king of Israel had done. He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.
重新建築他父希西家所毀壞的邱壇，又為巴力築壇，做亞舍拉像，效法以色列王亞哈所行的，且敬拜事奉天上的萬象；
歷代志下 24:7
Now the sons of that wicked woman Athaliah had broken into the temple of God and had used even its sacred objects for the Baals.

Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel-all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him."
但我在以色列人中為自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的，未曾與巴力親嘴的。」

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, but not as his father and mother had done. He got rid of the sacred stone of Baal that his father had made.
他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，但不至像他父母所行的，因為除掉他父所造巴力的柱像。

Then Jehu brought all the people together and said to them, "Ahab served Baal a little; Jehu will serve him much.
Now summon all the prophets of Baal, all his servants and all his priests. See that no one is missing, because I am going to hold a great sacrifice for Baal. Anyone who fails to come will no longer live." But Jehu was acting deceptively in order to destroy the servants of Baal.
Jehu said, "Call an assembly in honor of Baal." So they proclaimed it.
Then he sent word throughout Israel, and all the servants of Baal came; not one stayed away. They crowded into the temple of Baal until it was full from one end to the other.
And Jehu said to the keeper of the wardrobe, "Bring robes for all the servants of Baal." So he brought out robes for them.
Then Jehu and Jehonadab son of Rekab went into the temple of Baal. Jehu said to the servants of Baal, "Look around and see that no one who serves the Lord is here with you-only servants of Baal."
So they went in to make sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had posted eighty men outside with this warning: "If one of you lets any of the men I am placing in your hands escape, it will be your life for his life."
As soon as Jehu had finished making the burnt offering, he ordered the guards and officers: "Go in and kill them; let no one escape." So they cut them down with the sword. The guards and officers threw the bodies out and then entered the inner shrine of the temple of Baal.
耶戶招聚眾民，對他們說：「亞哈事奉巴力還冷淡，耶戶卻更熱心。
現在我要給巴力獻大祭。應當叫巴力的眾先知和一切拜巴力的人，並巴力的眾祭司，都到我這裡來，不可缺少一個；凡不來的必不得活。」耶戶這樣行，是用詭計要殺盡拜巴力的人。
耶戶說：「要為巴力宣告嚴肅會！」於是宣告了。
耶戶差人走遍以色列地；凡拜巴力的人都來齊了，沒有一個不來的。他們進了巴力廟，巴力廟中從前邊直到後邊都滿了人。
耶戶吩咐掌管禮服的人說：「拿出禮服來，給一切拜巴力的人穿。」他就拿出禮服來給了他們。
耶戶和利甲的兒子約拿達進了巴力廟，對拜巴力的人說：「你們察看察看，在你們這裡不可有耶和華的僕人，只可容留拜巴力的人。」
耶戶和約拿達進去，獻平安祭和燔祭。耶戶先安排八十人在廟外，吩咐說：「我將這些人交在你們手中，若有一人脫逃，誰放的必叫他償命！」
耶戶獻完了燔祭，就出來吩咐護衛兵和眾軍長說：「你們進去殺他們，不容一人出來！」護衛兵和軍長就用刀殺他們，將屍首拋出去，便到巴力廟的城去了，
歷代志下 28:2
He followed the ways of the kings of Israel and also made idols for worshiping the Baals.

民數記 25:3
So Israel yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor. And the Lord's anger burned against them.
以色列人與巴力毗珥連合，耶和華的怒氣就向以色列人發作。
列王記上 18:26
So they took the bull given them and prepared it. Then they called on the name of Baal from morning till noon. "Baal, answer us!" they shouted. But there was no response; no one answered. And they danced around the altar they had made.
他們將所得的牛犢預備好了，從早晨到午間，求告巴力的名說：「巴力啊，求你應允我們！」卻沒有聲音，沒有應允的。他們在所築的壇四圍踊跳。
列王記上 22:53
He served and worshiped Baal and aroused the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, just as his father had done.
他照他父親一切所行的，事奉敬拜巴力，惹耶和華以色列神的怒氣。
何西阿書 11:2
But the more they were called, the more they went away from me. They sacrificed to the Baals and they burned incense to images.
先知越發招呼他們，他們越發走開，向諸巴力獻祭，給雕刻的偶像燒香。
羅馬書 11:4
And what was God's answer to him? "I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal."
神的回話是怎麼說的呢？他說：「我為自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的。」
