將各樣的計謀，各樣攔阻人認識神的那些自高之事，一概攻破了，又將人所有的心意奪回，使他都順服基督。
羅馬書 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
不要效法這個世界，只要心意更新而變化，叫你們察驗何為神的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意。

雅各書 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

應當一無掛慮，只要凡事藉著禱告、祈求，和感謝，將你們所要的告訴神。
神所賜、出人意外的平安必在基督耶穌裡保守你們的心懷意念。
弟兄們，我還有未盡的話：凡是真實的、可敬的、公義的、清潔的、可愛的、有美名的，若有什麼德行，若有什麼稱讚，這些事你們都要思念。
希伯來書 13:5

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread."
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone.' "
The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.
And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.
If you worship me, it will all be yours."
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.' "
The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down from here.
For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully;
they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' "
Jesus answered, "It is said: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "
When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.
耶穌被聖靈充滿，從約但河回來，聖靈將他引到曠野，
四十天受魔鬼的試探。那些日子沒有吃什麼；日子滿了，他就餓了。
魔鬼對他說：「你若是神的兒子，可以吩咐這塊石頭變成食物。」
耶穌回答說：「經上記著說：『人活著不是單靠食物，乃是靠神口裡所出的一切話。』」
魔鬼又領他上了高山，霎時間把天下的萬國都指給他看，
對他說：「這一切權柄、榮華，我都要給你，因為這原是交付我的，我願意給誰就給誰。
你若在我面前下拜，這都要歸你。」
耶穌說：「經上記著說：當拜主你的神，單要事奉他。」
魔鬼又領他到耶路撒冷去，叫他站在殿頂（頂：原文作翅）上，對他說：「你若是神的兒子，可以從這裡跳下去；
因為經上記著說：主要為你吩咐他的使者保護你；
他們要用手托著你，免得你的腳碰在石頭上。」
耶穌對他說：「經上說：『不可試探主你的神。』」
魔鬼用完了各樣的試探，就暫時離開耶穌。
箴言 20:27
The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord that sheds light on one's inmost being.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

彼得前書 1:5

你們這因信蒙神能力保守的人，必能得著所預備，到末世要顯現的救恩。

凡從神生的，就不犯罪，因神的道（原文作種）存在他心裡；他也不能犯罪，因為他是由神生的。
