申命記 15:11 There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.
原來那地上的窮人永不斷絕;所以我吩咐你說:『總要向你地上困苦窮乏的弟兄鬆開手。』」
以賽亞書 32:8 But the noble make noble plans, and by noble deeds they stand.

有施散的,卻更增添;有吝惜過度的,反致窮乏。 好施捨的,必得豐裕;滋潤人的,必得滋潤。
路加福音 12:33 - 34 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
你們要變賣所有的賙濟人,為自己預備永不壞的錢囊,用不盡的財寶在天上,就是賊不能近、蟲不能蛀的地方。 因為,你們的財寶在那裡,你們的心也在那裡。」
哥林多前書 16:2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

路加福音 11:41 - 42 But now as for what is inside you-be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.

申命記 15:7 - 8 If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them. Rather, be openhanded and freely lend them whatever they need.
「在耶和華你神所賜你的地上,無論哪一座城裡,你弟兄中若有一個窮人,你不可忍著心、揝著手不幫補你窮乏的弟兄。 總要向他鬆開手,照他所缺乏的借給他,補他的不足。
詩篇 41:1 Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.
(大衛的詩,交與伶長。)眷顧貧窮的有福了!他遭難的日子,耶和華必搭救他。

提摩太前書 5:8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
人若不看顧親屬,就是背了真道,比不信的人還不好,不看顧自己家裡的人,更是如此。

馬太福音 6:1 - 4 "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
「你們要小心,不可將善事行在人的面前,故意叫他們看見,若是這樣,就不能得你們天父的賞賜了。 所以,你施捨的時候,不可在你前面吹號,像那假冒為善的人在會堂裡和街道上所行的,故意要得人的榮耀。我實在告訴你們,他們已經得了他們的賞賜。 你施捨的時候,不要叫左手知道右手所做的, 要叫你施捨的事行在暗中。你父在暗中察看,必然報答你(有古卷:必在明處報答你)。」
哥林多後書 9:6 - 7 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
「少種的少收,多種的多收」,這話是真的。 各人要隨本心所酌定的,不要作難,不要勉強,因為捐得樂意的人是神所喜愛的。
箴言 31:20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
他張手賙濟困苦人,伸手幫補窮乏人。

羅馬書 13:8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.

哥林多後書 8:14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality,
乃要均平,就是要你們的富餘,現在可以補他們的不足,使他們的富餘,將來也可以補你們的不足,這就均平了。
提摩太前書 5:16 If any woman who is a believer has widows in her care, she should continue to help them and not let the church be burdened with them, so that the church can help those widows who are really in need.
信主的婦女,若家中有寡婦,自己就當救濟他們,不可累著教會,好使教會能救濟那真無倚靠的寡婦。
提摩太前書 6:17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
你要囑咐那些今世富足的人,不要自高,也不要倚靠無定的錢財;只要倚靠那厚賜百物給我們享受的神。
箴言 3:5 - 6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
你要專心仰賴耶和華,不可倚靠自己的聰明, 在你一切所行的事上都要認定他,他必指引你的路。
箴言 19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.
憐憫貧窮的,就是借給耶和華;他的善行,耶和華必償還。
馬太福音 19:21 Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
耶穌說:「你若願意作完全人,可去變賣你所有的,分給窮人,就必有財寶在天上;你還要來跟從我。」
羅馬書 12:13 Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
聖徒缺乏要幫補;客要一味的款待。
腓立比書 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
