哥林多前書 3:18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become "fools" so that you may become wise.
人不可自欺。你們中間若有人在這世界自以為有智慧,倒不如變作愚拙,好成為有智慧的。
羅馬書 1:22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
自稱為聰明,反成了愚拙,
馬太福音 25:3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.
愚拙的拿著燈,卻不預備油;
羅馬書 14:1 Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.
信心軟弱的,你們要接納,但不要辯論所疑惑的事。
馬太福音 25:8 The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'
愚拙的對聰明的說:『請分點油給我們,因為我們的燈要滅了。』
哥林多前書 4:10 We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored!
我們為基督的緣故算是愚拙的,你們在基督裡倒是聰明的;我們軟弱,你們倒強壯;你們有榮耀,我們倒被藐視。
提摩太後書 2:23 Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.
惟有那愚拙無學問的辯論,總要棄絕,因為知道這等事是起爭競的。
加拉太書 6:7 - 8 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
不要自欺,神是輕慢不得的。人種的是什麼,收的也是什麼。 順著情慾撒種的,必從情慾收敗壞;順著聖靈撒種的,必從聖靈收永生。
詩篇 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans.
投靠耶和華,強似倚賴人;
羅馬書 12:17 - 21 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
不要以惡報惡;眾人以為美的事要留心去做。 若是能行,總要盡力與眾人和睦。 親愛的弟兄,不要自己伸冤,寧可讓步,聽憑主怒(或作:讓人發怒);因為經上記著:「主說:『伸冤在我;我必報應。』」 所以,「你的仇敵若餓了,就給他吃,若渴了,就給他喝;因為你這樣行就是把炭火堆在他的頭上。」 你不可為惡所勝,反要以善勝惡。
哥林多前書 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
世人憑自己的智慧,既不認識神,神就樂意用人所當作愚拙的道理,拯救那些信的人;這就是神的智慧了。
哥林多前書 2:14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
然而,屬血氣的人不領會神聖靈的事,反倒以為愚拙,並且不能知道,因為這些事惟有屬靈的人才能看透。
詩篇 14:1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
(大衛的詩,交與伶長。)愚頑人心裡說:沒有神。他們都是邪惡,行了可憎惡的事;沒有一個人行善。

敬畏耶和華是知識的開端;愚妄人藐視智慧和訓誨。
馬可福音 7:20 - 22 He went on: "What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person's heart, that evil thoughts come-sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.
又說:「從人裡面出來的,那才能污穢人; 因為從裡面,就是從人心裡,發出惡念、苟合、 偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、淫蕩、嫉妒、謗讟、驕傲、狂妄。
雅各書 1:26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
若有人自以為虔誠,卻不勒住他的舌頭,反欺哄自己的心,這人的虔誠是虛的。
箴言 24:29 Do not say, "I'll do to them as they have done to me; I'll pay them back for what they did."
不可說:人怎樣待我,我也怎樣待他;我必照他所行的報復他。
