He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

"I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, 'Here am I, here am I.'

哥林多前書 10:20
No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.

not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God;

All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.

Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.

創世記 49:10
The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

詩篇 102:15
The nations will fear the name of the Lord, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.

Let no foreigner who is bound to the Lord say, "The Lord will surely exclude me from his people." And let no eunuch complain, "I am only a dry tree."

何西阿書 2:23
I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called 'Not my loved one. ' I will say to those called 'Not my people, ' 'You are my people'; and they will say, 'You are my God.' "

Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.
But when they opposed Paul and became abusive, he shook out his clothes in protest and said to them, "Your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."
每逢安息日，保羅在會堂裡辯論，勸化猶太人和希利尼人。
西拉和提摩太從馬其頓來的時候，保羅為道迫切，向猶太人證明耶穌是基督。

申命記 32:21
They made me jealous by what is no god and angered me with their worthless idols. I will make them envious by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation that has no understanding.

In the last days the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.
Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
末後的日子，耶和華殿的山必堅立，超乎諸山，高舉過於萬嶺；萬民都要流歸這山。
必有許多國的民前往，說：來吧，我們登耶和華的山，奔雅各神的殿。主必將他的道教訓我們；我們也要行他的路。因為訓誨必出於錫安；耶和華的言語必出於耶路撒冷。
他必在列國中施行審判，為許多國民斷定是非。他們要將刀打成犁頭，把槍打成鐮刀。這國不舉刀攻擊那國；他們也不再學習戰事。
以賽亞書 40:5
And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken."
耶和華的榮耀必然顯現；凡有血氣的必一同看見；因為這是耶和華親口說的。
以賽亞書 45:8
"You heavens above, rain down my righteousness; let the clouds shower it down. Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness flourish with it; I, the Lord, have created it.
諸天哪，自上而滴，穹蒼降下公義；地面開裂，產出救恩，使公義一同發生；這都是我耶和華所造的。
以賽亞書 60:8

"Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests?
Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, bringing your children from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.
"Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Though in anger I struck you, in favor I will show you compassion.
Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations- their kings led in triumphal procession.
For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.
"The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the juniper, the fir and the cypress together, to adorn my sanctuary; and I will glorify the place for my feet.
The children of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
那些飛來如雲、又如鴿子向窗戶飛回的是誰呢？
眾海島必等候我，首先是他施的船隻，將你的眾子連他們的金銀從遠方一同帶來，都為耶和華你神的名，又為以色列的聖者，因為他已經榮耀了你。
外邦人必建築你的城牆；他們的王必服事你。我曾發怒擊打你，現今卻施恩憐恤你。
你的城門必時常開放，晝夜不關；使人把列國的財物帶來歸你，並將他們的君王牽引而來。
哪一邦哪一國不事奉你，就必滅亡，也必全然荒廢。
利巴嫩的榮耀，就是松樹、杉樹、黃楊樹，都必一同歸你，為要修飾我聖所之地；我也要使我腳踏之處得榮耀。
素來苦待你的，他的子孫都必屈身來就你；藐視你的，都要在你腳下跪拜。他們要稱你為「耶和華的城」，為「以色列聖者的錫安」。
但以理書 2:35
Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.
於是金、銀、銅、鐵、泥都一同砸得粉碎，成如夏天禾場上的糠秕，被風吹散，無處可尋。打碎這像的石頭變成一座大山，充滿天下。
馬太福音 6:31

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
所以，不要憂慮說：吃什麼？喝什麼？穿什麼？

Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: "People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious.
For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship-and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.
And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.

and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: "Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing the praises of your name."
Again, it says, "Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people."
And again, "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him."
And again, Isaiah says, "The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope."
並叫外邦人因他的憐憫榮耀神。如經上所記：因此，我要在外邦中稱讚你，歌頌你的名；
又說：你們外邦人當與主的百姓一同歡樂；
又說：外邦啊，你們當讚美主！萬民哪，你們都當頌讚他！
又有以賽亞說：將來有耶西的根，就是那興起來要治理外邦的；外邦人要仰望他。
哥林多前書 12:2
You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.
你們作外邦人的時候，隨事被牽引，受迷惑，去服事那啞巴偶像，這是你們知道的。
加拉太書 3:14
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
這便叫亞伯拉罕的福，因基督耶穌可以臨到外邦人，使我們因信得著所應許的聖靈。
以弗所書 2:12
remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
那時，你們與基督無關，在以色列國民以外，在所應許的諸約上是局外人，並且活在世上沒有指望，沒有神。

詩篇 22:27

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,
for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.
All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him- those who cannot keep themselves alive.
Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.
They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!
地的四極都要想念耶和華，並且歸順他；列國的萬族都要在你面前敬拜。
因為國權是耶和華的；他是管理萬國的。
地上一切豐肥的人必吃喝而敬拜；凡下到塵土中不能存活自己性命的人都要在他面前下拜。
他必有後裔事奉他；主所行的事必傳與後代。
他們必來把他的公義傳給將要生的民，言明這事是他所行的。

You who answer prayer, to you all people will come.

Envoys will come from Egypt; Cush will submit herself to God.

埃及的公侯要出來朝見神；古實人要急忙舉手禱告。

詩篇 72:8

May he rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
May the desert tribes bow before him and his enemies lick the dust.
May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts.
May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him.
他要執掌權柄，從這海直到那海，從大河直到地極。

May grain abound throughout the land; on the tops of the hills may it sway. May the crops flourish like Lebanon and thrive like the grass of the field.
在地的山頂上，五穀必然茂盛（或作：有一把五穀）；所結的穀實要響動，如利巴嫩的樹林；城裡的人要發旺，如地上的草。
詩篇 145:10

All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you.
They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
耶和華啊，你一切所造的都要稱謝你；你的聖民也要稱頌你，
傳說你國的榮耀，談論你的大能，
以賽亞書 24:16
From the ends of the earth we hear singing: "Glory to the Righteous One." But I said, "I waste away, I waste away! Woe to me! The treacherous betray! With treachery the treacherous betray!"
我們聽見從地極有人歌唱，說：榮耀歸於義人。我卻說：我消滅了！我消滅了，我有禍了！詭詐的行詭詐；詭詐的大行詭詐。
以賽亞書 42:4
he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching the islands will put their hope."

Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the Lord called me; from my mother's womb he has spoken my name.

以賽亞書 55:5
Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor."
你素不認識的國民，你也必召來；素不認識你的國民也必向你奔跑，都因耶和華你的神以色列的聖者，因為他已經榮耀你。
以賽亞書 56:6

And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant-
these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."
The Sovereign Lord declares- he who gathers the exiles of Israel: "I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered."
還有那些與耶和華聯合的外邦人，要事奉他，要愛耶和華的名，要作他的僕人，就是凡守安息日不干犯，又持守他（原文作我）約的人。
我必領他們到我的聖山，使他們在禱告我的殿中喜樂。他們的燔祭和平安祭，在我壇上必蒙悅納，因我的殿必稱為萬民禱告的殿。
主耶和華，就是招聚以色列被趕散的，說：在這被招聚的人以外，我還要招聚別人歸併他們。
耶利米書 10:2

This is what the Lord says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them.
For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
耶和華如此說：你們不要效法列國的行為，也不要為天象驚惶，因列國為此事驚惶。
眾民的風俗是虛空的；他們在樹林中用斧子砍伐一棵樹，匠人用手工造成偶像。
耶利米書 16:19

Lord, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, "Our ancestors possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.
Do people make their own gods? Yes, but they are not gods!"
"Therefore I will teach them- this time I will teach them my power and might. Then they will know that my name is the Lord.
耶和華啊，你是我的力量，是我的保障；在苦難之日是我的避難所。列國人必從地極來到你這裡，說：我們列祖所承受的，不過是虛假，是虛空無益之物。
人豈可為自己製造神呢？其實這不是神。
耶和華說：「我要使他們知道，就是這一次使他們知道我的手和我的能力。他們就知道我的名是耶和華了。」
但以理書 2:44
"In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.
當那列王在位的時候，天上的神必另立一國，永不敗壞，也不歸別國的人，卻要打碎滅絕那一切國，這國必存到永遠。
阿摩司書 9:11

"In that day I will restore David's fallen shelter- I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins- and will rebuild it as it used to be,
so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name, " declares the Lord, who will do these things.
到那日，我必建立大衛倒塌的帳幕，堵住其中的破口，把那破壞的建立起來，重新修造，像古時一樣，
使以色列人得以東所餘剩的和所有稱為我名下的國。此乃行這事的耶和華說的。
撒迦利亞書 14:16
Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.
所有來攻擊耶路撒冷列國中剩下的人，必年年上來敬拜大君王萬軍之耶和華，並守住棚節。
馬太福音 6:7

And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
你們禱告，不可像外邦人，用許多重複話，他們以為話多了必蒙垂聽。
你們不可效法他們；因為你們沒有祈求以先，你們所需用的，你們的父早已知道了。
路加福音 13:29

People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.
Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last."
從東、從西、從南、從北將有人來，在神的國裡坐席。
只是有在後的，將要在前；有在前的，將要在後。」
