箴言 6:6 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!
懶惰人哪,你去察看螞蟻的動作就可得智慧。
箴言 19:15 Laziness brings on deep sleep, and the shiftless go hungry.
懶惰使人沉睡;懈怠的人必受飢餓。
箴言 19:24 A sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not even bring it back to his mouth!
懶惰人放手在盤子裡,就是向口撤回,他也不肯。
傳道書 10:18 Through laziness, the rafters sag; because of idle hands, the house leaks.
因人懶惰,房頂塌下;因人手懶,房屋滴漏。
箴言 20:4 Sluggards do not plow in season; so at harvest time they look but find nothing.
懶惰人因冬寒不肯耕種,到收割的時候,他必討飯而無所得。
箴言 24:30 - 34 I went past the field of a sluggard, past the vineyard of someone who has no sense; thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins. I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw: A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest- and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.
我經過懶惰人的田地、無知人的葡萄園, 荊棘長滿了地皮,刺草遮蓋了田面,石牆也坍塌了。 我看見就留心思想;我看著就領了訓誨。 再睡片時,打盹片時,抱著手躺臥片時, 你的貧窮就必如強盜速來,你的缺乏彷彿拿兵器的人來到。
帖撒羅尼迦後書 3:10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat."
我們在你們那裡的時候,曾吩咐你們說,若有人不肯做工,就不可吃飯。
箴言 13:4 A sluggard's appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.
懶惰人羨慕,卻無所得;殷勤人必得豐裕。
歌羅西書 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
無論做什麼,都要從心裡做,像是給主做的,不是給人做的,
歌羅西書 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
無論做什麼,或說話或行事,都要奉主耶穌的名,藉著他感謝父神。
帖撒羅尼迦後書 3:11 - 12 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat.
因我們聽說,在你們中間有人不按規矩而行,什麼工都不做,反倒專管閒事。 我們靠主耶穌基督吩咐、勸戒這樣的人,要安靜做工,吃自己的飯。
箴言 12:11 Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.
耕種自己田地的,必得飽食;追隨虛浮的,卻是無知。
