馬太福音 10:16 "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
「我差你們去,如同羊進入狼群;所以你們要靈巧像蛇,馴良像鴿子。
馬可福音 16:18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
手能拿蛇;若喝了什麼毒物,也必不受害;手按病人,病人就必好了。」
創世記 3:4 "You will not certainly die," the serpent said to the woman.
蛇對女人說:「你們不一定死;

耶和華對摩西說:「你製造一條火蛇,掛在杆子上;凡被咬的,一望這蛇,就必得活。」 摩西便製造一條銅蛇,掛在杆子上;凡被蛇咬的,一望這銅蛇就活了。
創世記 3:14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.
耶和華神對蛇說:你既做了這事,就必受咒詛,比一切的牲畜野獸更甚。你必用肚子行走,終身吃土。

出埃及記 7:8 - 13 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, "When Pharaoh says to you, 'Perform a miracle,' then say to Aaron, 'Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,' and it will become a snake." So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs. Yet Pharaoh's heart became hard and he would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.
耶和華曉諭摩西、亞倫說: 「法老若對你們說:『你們行件奇事吧!』你就吩咐亞倫說:『把杖丟在法老面前,使杖變作蛇。』」 摩西、亞倫進去見法老,就照耶和華所吩咐的行。亞倫把杖丟在法老和臣僕面前,杖就變作蛇。 於是法老召了博士和術士來;他們是埃及行法術的,也用邪術照樣而行。 他們各人丟下自己的杖,杖就變作蛇;但亞倫的杖吞了他們的杖。 法老心裡剛硬,不肯聽從摩西、亞倫,正如耶和華所說的。
詩篇 91:13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
你要踹在獅子和虺蛇的身上,踐踏少壯獅子和大蛇。
箴言 23:32 In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.
使徒行傳 28:3 - 5 Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand. When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, "This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, the goddess Justice has not allowed him to live." But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects.
那時,保羅拾起一捆柴,放在火上,有一條毒蛇,因為熱了出來,咬住他的手。 土人看見那毒蛇懸在他手上,就彼此說:「這人必是個兇手,雖然從海裡救上來,天理還不容他活著。」 保羅竟把那毒蛇甩在火裡,並沒有受傷。
創世記 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
耶和華神所造的,惟有蛇比田野一切的活物更狡猾。蛇對女人說:「神豈是真說不許你們吃園中所有樹上的果子嗎?」
彌迦書 7:17 They will lick dust like a snake, like creatures that crawl on the ground. They will come trembling out of their dens; they will turn in fear to the Lord our God and will be afraid of you.
他們必舔土如蛇,又如土中腹行的物,戰戰兢兢地出他們的營寨。他們必戰懼投降耶和華,也必因我們的神而懼怕。
出埃及記 4:3 The Lord said, "Throw it on the ground." Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it.
耶和華說:「丟在地上。」他一丟下去,就變作蛇;摩西便跑開。
