哥林多前書 9:27
No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
我是攻克己身，叫身服我，恐怕我傳福音給別人，自己反被棄絕了。
民數記 27:12
- 14
Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go up this mountain in the Abarim Range and see the land I have given the Israelites.
After you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aaron was,
for when the community rebelled at the waters in the Desert of Zin, both of you disobeyed my command to honor me as holy before their eyes." (These were the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.)
耶和華對摩西說：「你上這亞巴琳山，觀看我所賜給以色列人的地。
看了以後，你也必歸到你列祖（原文作本民）那裡，像你哥哥亞倫一樣。
因為你們在尋的曠野，當會眾爭鬧的時候，違背了我的命，沒有在湧水之地、會眾眼前尊我為聖。」（這水就是尋的曠野加低斯米利巴水。）

Now a man of God came to Eli and said to him, "This is what the Lord says: 'Did I not clearly reveal myself to your ancestor's family when they were in Egypt under Pharaoh?
I chose your ancestor out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod in my presence. I also gave your ancestor's family all the food offerings presented by the Israelites.
Why do you scorn my sacrifice and offering that I prescribed for my dwelling? Why do you honor your sons more than me by fattening yourselves on the choice parts of every offering made by my people Israel?'
"Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: 'I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.' But now the Lord declares: 'Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.
有神人來見以利，對他說：「耶和華如此說：『你祖父在埃及法老家作奴僕的時候，我不是向他們顯現嗎？
在以色列眾支派中，我不是揀選人作我的祭司，使他燒香，在我壇上獻祭，在我面前穿以弗得，又將以色列人所獻的火祭都賜給你父家嗎？
我所吩咐獻在我居所的祭物，你們為何踐踏？尊重你的兒子過於尊重我，將我民以色列所獻美好的祭物肥己呢？』
因此，耶和華以色列的神說：『我曾說，你和你父家必永遠行在我面前；現在我卻說，決不容你們這樣行。因為尊重我的，我必重看他；藐視我的，他必被輕視。
列王記上 13:20
- 22
While they were sitting at the table, the word of the Lord came to the old prophet who had brought him back.
He cried out to the man of God who had come from Judah, "This is what the Lord says: 'You have defied the word of the Lord and have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you.
You came back and ate bread and drank water in the place where he told you not to eat or drink. Therefore your body will not be buried in the tomb of your ancestors.' "
二人坐席的時候，耶和華的話臨到那帶神人回來的先知，
他就對那從猶大來的神人說：「耶和華如此說：你既違背耶和華的話，不遵守耶和華你神的命令，
反倒回來，在耶和華禁止你吃飯喝水的地方吃了喝了，因此你的屍身不得入你列祖的墳墓。」
