希伯來書 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
你們存心不可貪愛錢財,要以自己所有的為足;因為主曾說:『我總不撇下你,也不丟棄你。』
提摩太前書 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
貪財是萬惡之根。有人貪戀錢財,就被引誘離了真道,用許多愁苦把自己刺透了。
馬太福音 6:24 "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
「一個人不能事奉兩個主;不是惡這個,愛那個,就是重這個,輕那個。你們不能又事奉神,又事奉瑪門(瑪門:財利的意思)。」
提摩太前書 6:17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
你要囑咐那些今世富足的人,不要自高,也不要倚靠無定的錢財;只要倚靠那厚賜百物給我們享受的神。
箴言 22:7 The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.
富戶管轄窮人;欠債的是債主的僕人。
傳道書 5:10 Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.
貪愛銀子的,不因得銀子知足;貪愛豐富的,也不因得利益知足。這也是虛空。
馬太福音 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
因為你的財寶在那裡,你的心也在那裡。」
路加福音 16:11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?
倘若你們在不義的錢財上不忠心,誰還把那真實的錢財托付你們呢?
詩篇 10:3 He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.
因為惡人以心願自誇;貪財的背棄耶和華,並且輕慢他(或作:他祝福貪財的,卻輕慢耶和華)。
箴言 11:28 Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.
倚仗自己財物的,必跌倒;義人必發旺,如青葉。
箴言 28:22 The stingy are eager to get rich and are unaware that poverty awaits them.
人有惡眼想要急速發財,卻不知窮乏必臨到他身。
以西結書 7:19 " 'They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be treated as a thing unclean. Their silver and gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord's wrath. It will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs, for it has caused them to stumble into sin.
他們要將銀子拋在街上,金子看如污穢之物。當耶和華發怒的日子,他們的金銀不能救他們,不能使心裡知足,也不能使肚腹飽滿,因為這金銀作了他們罪孽的絆腳石。
瑪拉基書 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
萬軍之耶和華說:你們要將當納的十分之一全然送入倉庫,使我家有糧,以此試試我,是否為你們敞開天上的窗戶,傾福與你們,甚至無處可容。
馬太福音 6:31 - 33 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
所以,不要憂慮說:吃什麼?喝什麼?穿什麼? 這都是外邦人所求的,你們需用的這一切東西,你們的天父是知道的。 你們要先求他的國和他的義,這些東西都要加給你們了。
馬太福音 6:19 - 20 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
「不要為自己積儹財寶在地上;地上有蟲子咬,能(金秀)壞,也有賊挖窟窿來偷。 只要積儹財寶在天上;天上沒有蟲子咬,不能(金秀)壞,也沒有賊挖窟窿來偷。
詩篇 62:10 Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.
不要仗勢欺人,也不要因搶奪而驕傲;若財寶加增,不要放在心上。
箴言 13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.
不勞而得之財必然消耗;勤勞積蓄的,必見加增。
箴言 17:5 Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished.
戲笑窮人的,是辱沒造他的主;幸災樂禍的,必不免受罰。

約伯記 36:15 But those who suffer he delivers in their suffering; he speaks to them in their affliction.
神藉著困苦救拔困苦人,趁他們受欺壓開通他們的耳朵。
詩篇 37:16 Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked;
一個義人所有的雖少,強過許多惡人的富餘。

詩篇 41:1 Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.
(大衛的詩,交與伶長。)眷顧貧窮的有福了!他遭難的日子,耶和華必搭救他。
箴言 13:22 A good person leaves an inheritance for their children's children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous.
善人給子孫遺留產業;罪人為義人積存資財。

腓立比書 2:3 - 4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
凡事不可結黨,不可貪圖虛浮的榮耀;只要存心謙卑,各人看別人比自己強。 各人不要單顧自己的事,也要顧別人的事。
約伯記 5:15 - 16 He saves the needy from the sword in their mouth; he saves them from the clutches of the powerful. So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth.

誠實人必多得福;想要急速發財的,不免受罰。
雅各書 2:5 Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?
我親愛的弟兄們,請聽,神豈不是揀選了世上的貧窮人,叫他們在信上富足,並承受他所應許給那些愛他之人的國嗎?
箴言 15:16 Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.
少有財寶,敬畏耶和華,強如多有財寶,煩亂不安。
箴言 17:1 Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife.
設筵滿屋,大家相爭,不如有塊乾餅,大家相安。
箴言 30:7 - 9 "Two things I ask of you, Lord; do not refuse me before I die: Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
我求你兩件事,在我未死之先,不要不賜給我: 求你使虛假和謊言遠離我;使我也不貧窮也不富足;賜給我需用的飲食, 恐怕我飽足不認你,說:耶和華是誰呢?又恐怕我貧窮就偷竊,以致褻瀆我神的名。
傳道書 5:12 - 14 The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether they eat little or much, but as for the rich, their abundance permits them no sleep. I have seen a grievous evil under the sun: wealth hoarded to the harm of its owners, or wealth lost through some misfortune, so that when they have children there is nothing left for them to inherit.
勞碌的人不拘吃多吃少,睡得香甜;富足人的豐滿卻不容他睡覺。 我見日光之下有一宗大禍患,就是財主積存資財,反害自己。 因遭遇禍患,這些資財就消滅;那人若生了兒子,手裡也一無所有。
以賽亞書 55:1 "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
你們一切乾渴的都當就近水來;沒有銀錢的也可以來。你們都來,買了吃;不用銀錢,不用價值,也來買酒和奶。
使徒行傳 8:20 Peter answered: "May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!
彼得說:「你的銀子和你一同滅亡吧!因你想神的恩賜是可以用錢買的。

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 你要囑咐那些今世富足的人,不要自高,也不要倚靠無定的錢財;只要倚靠那厚賜百物給我們享受的神。 又要囑咐他們行善,在好事上富足,甘心施捨,樂意供給(或作:體貼)人, 為自己積成美好的根基,預備將來,叫他們持定那真正的生命。
箴言 21:20 The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down.
智慧人家中積蓄寶物膏油;愚昧人隨得來隨吞下。
以賽亞書 65:11 - 13 "But as for you who forsake the Lord and forget my holy mountain, who spread a table for Fortune and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny, I will destine you for the sword, and all of you will fall in the slaughter; for I called but you did not answer, I spoke but you did not listen. You did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me." Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: "My servants will eat, but you will go hungry; my servants will drink, but you will go thirsty; my servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.
但你們這些離棄耶和華、忘記我的聖山、給時運擺筵席(原文作桌子)、給天命盛滿調和酒的, 我要命定你們歸在刀下,都必屈身被殺;因為我呼喚,你們沒有答應;我說話,你們沒有聽從;反倒行我眼中看為惡的,揀選我所不喜悅的。 所以,主耶和華如此說:我的僕人必得吃,你們卻飢餓;我的僕人必得喝,你們卻乾渴;我的僕人必歡喜,你們卻蒙羞。
馬太福音 22:21 "Caesar's," they replied. Then he said to them, "So give back to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."
