羅馬書 13:7 - 8 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
凡人所當得的,就給他。當得糧的,給他納糧;當得稅的,給他上稅;當懼怕的,懼怕他;當恭敬的,恭敬他。 凡事都不可虧欠人,惟有彼此相愛要常以為虧欠;因為愛人的,就完全了律法。
詩篇 37:21 The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously;
惡人借貸而不償還;義人卻恩待人,並且施捨。
箴言 3:27 - 28 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back tomorrow and I'll give it to you"- when you already have it with you.
你手若有行善的力量,不可推辭,就當向那應得的人施行。 你那裡若有現成的,不可對鄰舍說:去吧,明天再來,我必給你。

"Your servant has nothing there at all," she said, "except a small jar of olive oil." Elisha said, "Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don't ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side." She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, "Bring me another one." But he replied, "There is not a jar left." Then the oil stopped flowing. She went and told the man of God, and he said, "Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left."

雅各書 5:4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.

箴言 22:1 A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
美名勝過大財;恩寵強如金銀。

路加福音 6:34 - 35 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
你們若借給人,指望從他收回,有什麼可酬謝的呢?就是罪人也借給罪人,要如數收回。 你們倒要愛仇敵,也要善待他們,並要借給人不指望償還,你們的賞賜就必大了,你們也必作至高者的兒子;因為他恩待那忘恩的和作惡的。

以弗所書 2:8 - 9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.
你們得救是本乎恩,也因著信;這並不是出於自己,乃是神所賜的; 也不是出於行為,免得有人自誇。
雅各書 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
因為凡遵守全律法的,只在一條上跌倒,他就是犯了眾條。
