哥林多前書 8:1
Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that "We all possess knowledge." But knowledge puffs up while love builds up.
論到祭偶像之物，我們曉得我們都有知識。但知識是叫人自高自大，惟有愛心能造就人。
耶利米書 48:29
"We have heard of Moab's pride- how great is her arrogance!- of her insolence, her pride, her conceit and the haughtiness of her heart.
我們聽說摩押人驕傲，是極其驕傲；聽說他自高自傲，並且狂妄，居心自大。
哥林多前書 4:6
Now, brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over against the other.
弟兄們，我為你們的緣故，拿這些事轉比自己和亞波羅，叫你們效法我們不可過於聖經所記，免得你們自高自大，貴重這個，輕看那個。
哥林多前書 5:2
And you are proud! Shouldn't you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this?
你們還是自高自大，並不哀痛，把行這事的人從你們中間趕出去。
