詩篇 119:71
It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.
我受苦是與我有益，為要使我學習你的律例。
詩篇 119:67
Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.
我未受苦以先走迷了路，現在卻遵守你的話。
約伯記 36:8

But if people are bound in chains, held fast by cords of affliction,
he tells them what they have done- that they have sinned arrogantly.
He makes them listen to correction and commands them to repent of their evil.

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.

I know, Lord, that your laws are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.

because they rebelled against God's commands and despised the plans of the Most High.
So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
那些坐在黑暗中、死蔭裡的人被困苦和鐵鍊捆鎖，
