箴言 16:5 The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.
凡心裡驕傲的,為耶和華所憎惡;雖然連手,他必不免受罰。
箴言 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
驕傲來,羞恥也來;謙遜人卻有智慧。
箴言 29:23 Pride brings a person low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor.
人的高傲必使他卑下;心裡謙遜的,必得尊榮。
箴言 6:16 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him:
耶和華所恨惡的有六樣,連他心所憎惡的共有七樣:
耶利米書 9:23 This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches,
耶和華如此說:「智慧人不要因他的智慧誇口,勇士不要因他的勇力誇口,財主不要因他的財物誇口。
加拉太書 6:3 If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves.
人若無有,自己還以為有,就是自欺了。
雅各書 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."
但他賜更多的恩典,所以經上說:神阻擋驕傲的人,賜恩給謙卑的人。
箴言 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
驕傲在敗壞以先;狂心在跌倒之前。
哥林多後書 10:17 - 18 But, "Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord." For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
但誇口的,當指著主誇口。 因為蒙悅納的,不是自己稱許的,乃是主所稱許的。
腓立比書 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,
凡事不可結黨,不可貪圖虛浮的榮耀;只要存心謙卑,各人看別人比自己強。
哥林多前書 10:12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!
所以,自己以為站得穩的,須要謹慎,免得跌倒。
詩篇 119:21 You rebuke the arrogant, who are accursed, those who stray from your commands.
受咒詛、偏離你命令的驕傲人,你已經責備他們。
申命記 8:11 - 14 Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
「你要謹慎,免得忘記耶和華你的神,不守他的誡命、典章、律例,就是我今日所吩咐你的; 恐怕你吃得飽足,建造美好的房屋居住, 你的牛羊加多,你的金銀增添,並你所有的全都加增, 你就心高氣傲,忘記耶和華你的神,就是將你從埃及地為奴之家領出來的,
箴言 11:12 Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense, but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.
藐視鄰舍的,毫無智慧;明哲人卻靜默不言。
箴言 27:2 Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips.
要別人誇獎你,不可用口自誇;等外人稱讚你,不可用嘴自稱。
約伯記 40:12 look at all who are proud and humble them, crush the wicked where they stand.
見一切驕傲的人,將他制伏,把惡人踐踏在本處;
俄巴底亞書 1:3 The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself, 'Who can bring me down to the ground?'
住在山穴中、居所在高處的啊,你因狂傲自欺,心裡說:誰能將我拉下地去呢?
馬太福音 23:12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
凡自高的,必降為卑;自卑的,必升為高。
哥林多後書 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
將各樣的計謀,各樣攔阻人認識神的那些自高之事,一概攻破了,又將人所有的心意奪回,使他都順服基督。
約翰一書 2:16 For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-comes not from the Father but from the world.
因為凡世界上的事,就像肉體的情慾,眼目的情慾,並今生的驕傲,都不是從父來的,乃是從世界來的。
撒母耳記上 2:3 - 5 "Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed. "The bows of the warriors are broken, but those who stumbled are armed with strength. Those who were full hire themselves out for food, but those who were hungry are hungry no more. She who was barren has borne seven children, but she who has had many sons pines away.
人不要誇口說驕傲的話,也不要出狂妄的言語;因耶和華是大有智識的神,人的行為被他衡量。 勇士的弓都已折斷;跌倒的人以力量束腰。 素來飽足的,反作用人求食;飢餓的,再不飢餓。不生育的,生了七個兒子;多有兒女的,反倒衰微。
路加福音 16:15 He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God's sight.
耶穌對他們說:「你們是在人面前自稱為義的,你們的心,神卻知道;因為人所尊貴的,是神看為可憎惡的。
羅馬書 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
不要效法這個世界,只要心意更新而變化,叫你們察驗何為神的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意。
詩篇 5:5 The arrogant cannot stand in your presence. You hate all who do wrong;
狂傲人不能站在你眼前;凡作孽的,都是你所恨惡的。
箴言 29:8 Mockers stir up a city, but the wise turn away anger.
褻慢人煽惑通城;智慧人止息眾怒。
羅馬書 12:16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
要彼此同心;不要志氣高大,倒要俯就卑微的人(人:或作事);不要自以為聰明。
哥林多前書 14:38 But if anyone ignores this, they will themselves be ignored.
若有不知道的,就由他不知道吧!
哥林多後書 10:18 For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
因為蒙悅納的,不是自己稱許的,乃是主所稱許的。
士師記 9:14 - 15 "Finally all the trees said to the thornbush, 'Come and be our king.' "The thornbush said to the trees, 'If you really want to anoint me king over you, come and take refuge in my shade; but if not, then let fire come out of the thornbush and consume the cedars of Lebanon!'
眾樹對荊棘說:『請你來作我們的王。』 荊棘回答說:『你們若誠誠實實地膏我為王,就要投在我的蔭下;不然,願火從荊棘裡出來,燒滅利巴嫩的香柏樹。』
撒母耳記下 17:23 When Ahithophel saw that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and set out for his house in his hometown. He put his house in order and then hanged himself. So he died and was buried in his father's tomb.
亞希多弗見不依從他的計謀,就備上驢,歸回本城;到了家,留下遺言,便吊死了,葬在他父親的墳墓裡。
列王記下 14:9 But Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah king of Judah: "A thistle in Lebanon sent a message to a cedar in Lebanon, 'Give your daughter to my son in marriage.' Then a wild beast in Lebanon came along and trampled the thistle underfoot.

箴言 8:13 To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
敬畏耶和華在乎恨惡邪惡;那驕傲、狂妄,並惡道,以及乖謬的口,都為我所恨惡。
箴言 15:12 Mockers resent correction, so they avoid the wise.
褻慢人不愛受責備;他也不就近智慧人。
箴言 21:4 Haughty eyes and a proud heart- the unplowed field of the wicked-produce sin.
惡人發達(發達:原文作燈),眼高心傲,這乃是罪。
哥林多前書 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
所以,你們或吃或喝,無論做什麼,都要為榮耀神而行。
哥林多後書 12:7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.
又恐怕我因所得的啟示甚大,就過於自高,所以有一根刺加在我肉體上,就是撒但的差役要攻擊我,免得我過於自高。
提摩太前書 6:4 they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions
他是自高自大,一無所知,專好問難,爭辯言詞,從此就生出嫉妒、分爭、毀謗、妄疑,
列王記上 20:11 The king of Israel answered, "Tell him: 'One who puts on his armor should not boast like one who takes it off.' "
以色列王說:「你告訴他說,才頂盔貫甲的,休要像摘盔卸甲的誇口。」
列王記下 5:11 - 13 But Naaman went away angry and said, "I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy. Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn't I wash in them and be cleansed?" So he turned and went off in a rage. Naaman's servants went to him and said, "My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, 'Wash and be cleansed'!"
乃縵卻發怒走了,說:「我想他必定出來見我,站著求告耶和華他神的名,在患處以上搖手,治好這大痲瘋。 大馬色的河亞罷拿和法珥法豈不比以色列的一切水更好嗎?我在那裡沐浴不得潔淨嗎?」於是氣忿忿地轉身去了。 他的僕人進前來,對他說:「我父啊,先知若吩咐你做一件大事,你豈不做嗎?何況說你去沐浴而得潔淨呢?」
約伯記 13:5 If only you would be altogether silent! For you, that would be wisdom.
惟願你們全然不作聲;這就算為你們的智慧!
詩篇 101:5 Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not tolerate.
在暗中讒謗他鄰居的,我必將他滅絕;眼目高傲、心裡驕縱的,我必不容他。
箴言 25:14 Like clouds and wind without rain is one who boasts of gifts never given.
空誇贈送禮物的,好像無雨的風雲。
以賽亞書 5:15 So people will be brought low and everyone humbled, the eyes of the arrogant humbled.
卑賤人被壓服;尊貴人降為卑;眼目高傲的人也降為卑。
路加福音 1:51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
他用膀臂施展大能;那狂傲的人正心裡妄想就被他趕散了。
羅馬書 11:17 - 21 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, "Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.
若有幾根枝子被折下來,你這野橄欖得接在其中,一同得著橄欖根的肥汁, 你就不可向舊枝子誇口;若是誇口,當知道不是你托著根,乃是根托著你。 你若說,那枝子被折下來是特為叫我接上。 不錯!他們因為不信,所以被折下來;你因為信,所以立得住;你不可自高,反要懼怕。 神既不愛惜原來的枝子,也必不愛惜你。
提摩太後書 3:2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
因為那時人要專顧自己、貪愛錢財、自誇、狂傲、謗讟、違背父母、忘恩負義、心不聖潔、
啟示錄 3:17 You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
你說:我是富足,已經發了財,一樣都不缺;卻不知道你是那困苦、可憐、貧窮、瞎眼、赤身的。
出埃及記 18:10 - 11 He said, "Praise be to the Lord, who rescued you from the hand of the Egyptians and of Pharaoh, and who rescued the people from the hand of the Egyptians. Now I know that the Lord is greater than all other gods, for he did this to those who had treated Israel arrogantly."
葉忒羅說:「耶和華是應當稱頌的;他救了你們脫離埃及人和法老的手,將這百姓從埃及人的手下救出來。 我現今在埃及人向這百姓發狂傲的事上得知,耶和華比萬神都大。」
申命記 8:17 - 20 You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. Like the nations the Lord destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the Lord your God.
恐怕你心裡說:『這貨財是我力量、我能力得來的。』 你要記念耶和華你的神,因為得貨財的力量是他給你的,為要堅定他向你列祖起誓所立的約,像今日一樣。 你若忘記耶和華你的神,隨從別神,事奉敬拜,你們必定滅亡;這是我今日警戒你們的。 耶和華在你們面前怎樣使列國的民滅亡,你們也必照樣滅亡,因為你們不聽從耶和華你們神的話。」
歷代志下 26:16 - 19 But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense. Azariah the priest with eighty other courageous priests of the Lord followed him in. They confronted King Uzziah and said, "It is not right for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord. That is for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who have been consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have been unfaithful; and you will not be honored by the Lord God." Uzziah, who had a censer in his hand ready to burn incense, became angry. While he was raging at the priests in their presence before the incense altar in the Lord's temple, leprosy broke out on his forehead.
他既強盛,就心高氣傲,以致行事邪僻,干犯耶和華他的神,進耶和華的殿,要在香壇上燒香。 祭司亞撒利雅率領耶和華勇敢的祭司八十人,跟隨他進去。 他們就阻擋烏西雅王,對他說:「烏西雅啊,給耶和華燒香不是你的事,乃是亞倫子孫承接聖職祭司的事。你出聖殿吧!因為你犯了罪。你行這事,耶和華神必不使你得榮耀。」 烏西雅就發怒,手拿香爐要燒香。他向祭司發怒的時候,在耶和華殿中香壇旁眾祭司面前,額上忽然發出大痲瘋。
