Daniel replied, "No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about,
但以理在王面前回答說：「王所問的那奧秘事，哲士、用法術的、術士、觀兆的都不能告訴王；
申命記 18:9

When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there.
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft,
or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.
Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you.
「你到了耶和華你神所賜之地，那些國民所行可憎惡的事，你不可學著行。
你們中間不可有人使兒女經火，也不可有占卜的、觀兆的、用法術的、行邪術的、
用迷術的、交鬼的、行巫術的、過陰的。
凡行這些事的都為耶和華所憎惡；因那些國民行這可憎惡的事，所以耶和華你的神將他們從你面前趕出。
但以理書 4:7
When the magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners came, I told them the dream, but they could not interpret it for me.
於是那些術士、用法術的、迦勒底人、觀兆的都進來，我將那夢告訴了他們，他們卻不能把夢的講解告訴我。
利未記 19:31
" 'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.
「不可偏向那些交鬼的和行巫術的；不可求問他們，以致被他們玷污了。我是耶和華你們的神。
申命記 4:19
And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars-all the heavenly array-do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the Lord your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.

All the counsel you have received has only worn you out! Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you.
Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. These are not coals for warmth; this is not a fire to sit by.
你籌劃太多，以致疲倦。讓那些觀天象的，看星宿的，在月朔說預言的，都站起來，救你脫離所要臨到你的事。
他們要像碎稓被火焚燒，不能救自己脫離火焰之力；這火並非可烤的炭火，也不是可以坐在其前的火。

If a man or woman living among you in one of the towns the Lord gives you is found doing evil in the eyes of the Lord your God in violation of his covenant,
and contrary to my command has worshiped other gods, bowing down to them or to the sun or the moon or the stars in the sky,
and this has been brought to your attention, then you must investigate it thoroughly. If it is true and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done in Israel,
take the man or woman who has done this evil deed to your city gate and stone that person to death.
「在你們中間，在耶和華你神所賜你的諸城中，無論哪座城裡，若有人，或男或女，行耶和華你神眼中看為惡的事，違背了他的約，
去事奉敬拜別神，或拜日頭，或拜月亮，或拜天象，是主不曾吩咐的；
有人告訴你，你也聽見了，就要細細地探聽，果然是真，準有這可憎惡的事行在以色列中，
你就要將行這惡事的男人或女人拉到城門外，用石頭將他打死。
歷代志上 10:13

Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance,
and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.
這樣，掃羅死了。因為他干犯耶和華，沒有遵守耶和華的命；又因他求問交鬼的婦人，
沒有求問耶和華，所以耶和華使他被殺，把國歸於耶西的兒子大衛。

"Keep on, then, with your magic spells and with your many sorceries, which you have labored at since childhood. Perhaps you will succeed, perhaps you will cause terror.
All the counsel you have received has only worn you out! Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you.
Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame. These are not coals for warmth; this is not a fire to sit by.
That is all they are to you- these you have dealt with and labored with since childhood. All of them go on in their error; there is not one that can save you.
站起來吧！用你從幼年勞神施行的符咒和你許多的邪術；或者可得益處，或者可得強勝。
你籌劃太多，以致疲倦。讓那些觀天象的，看星宿的，在月朔說預言的，都站起來，救你脫離所要臨到你的事。

耶利米書 10:2

This is what the Lord says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them.
For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
耶和華如此說：你們不要效法列國的行為，也不要為天象驚惶，因列國為此事驚惶。
眾民的風俗是虛空的；他們在樹林中用斧子砍伐一棵樹，匠人用手工造成偶像。
耶利米書 10:2
This is what the Lord says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them.
耶和華如此說：你們不要效法列國的行為，也不要為天象驚惶，因列國為此事驚惶。

In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.
王考問他們一切事，就見他們的智慧聰明比通國的術士和用法術的勝過十倍。

Daniel replied, "No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about,
but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you were lying in bed are these:
但以理在王面前回答說：「王所問的那奧秘事，哲士、用法術的、術士、觀兆的都不能告訴王；
只有一位在天上的神能顯明奧秘的事。他已將日後必有的事指示尼布甲尼撒王。你的夢和你在床上腦中的異象是這樣：
但以理書 5:7

The king summoned the enchanters, astrologers and diviners. Then he said to these wise men of Babylon, "Whoever reads this writing and tells me what it means will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain placed around his neck, and he will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom."
Then all the king's wise men came in, but they could not read the writing or tell the king what it meant.
So King Belshazzar became even more terrified and his face grew more pale. His nobles were baffled.
大聲吩咐將用法術的和迦勒底人並觀兆的領進來，對巴比倫的哲士說，誰能讀這文字，把講解告訴我，他必身穿紫袍，項帶金鍊，在我國中位列第三。
於是王的一切哲士都進來，卻不能讀那文字，也不能把講解告訴王。
伯沙撒王就甚驚惶，臉色改變，他的大臣也都驚奇。
加拉太書 5:20

idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
拜偶像、邪術、仇恨、爭競、忌恨、惱怒、結黨、分爭、異端、
嫉妒（有古卷加：兇殺二字）、醉酒、荒宴等類。我從前告訴你們，現在又告訴你們，行這樣事的人必不能承受神的國。
