馬太福音 25:35
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
因為我餓了，你們給我吃，渴了，你們給我喝；我作客旅，你們留我住；
以賽亞書 58:10
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.
你心若向飢餓的人發憐憫，使困苦的人得滿足，你的光就必在黑暗中發現；你的幽暗必變如正午。
路加福音 3:11
John answered, "Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same."
約翰回答說：「有兩件衣裳的，就分給那沒有的；有食物的，也當這樣行。」
雅各書 2:14

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?
Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.
If one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
我的弟兄們，若有人說自己有信心，卻沒有行為，有什麼益處呢？這信心能救他嗎？
若是弟兄或是姐妹，赤身露體，又缺了日用的飲食；
你們中間有人對他們說：「平平安安的去吧！願你們穿得暖，吃得飽」；卻不給他們身體所需用的，這有什麼益處呢？
這樣，信心若沒有行為就是死的。
必有人說：「你有信心，我有行為；你將你沒有行為的信心指給我看，我便藉著我的行為，將我的信心指給你看。」
以斯帖記 9:22
as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration. He wrote them to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor.
以這月的兩日為猶大人脫離仇敵得平安、轉憂為喜、轉悲為樂的吉日。在這兩日設筵歡樂，彼此餽送禮物，賙濟窮人。

Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be that person?
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
凡有世上財物的，看見弟兄窮乏，卻塞住憐恤的心，愛神的心怎能存在他裡面呢？
小子們哪，我們相愛，不要只在言語和舌頭上，總要在行為和誠實上。
馬太福音 14:15

As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, "This is a remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food."
Jesus replied, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat."
"We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered.
"Bring them here to me," he said.
And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
天將晚的時候，門徒進前來，說：「這是野地，時候已經過了，請叫眾人散開，他們好往村子裡去，自己買吃的。」
耶穌說：「不用他們去，你們給他們吃吧！」
門徒說：「我們這裡只有五個餅，兩條魚。」
耶穌說：「拿過來給我。」
於是吩咐眾人坐在草地上，就拿著這五個餅，兩條魚，望著天祝福，擘開餅，遞給門徒，門徒又遞給眾人。
他們都吃，並且吃飽了；把剩下的零碎收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。
吃的人，除了婦女孩子，約有五千。
羅馬書 12:20
On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
所以，「你的仇敵若餓了，就給他吃，若渴了，就給他喝；因為你這樣行就是把炭火堆在他的頭上。」
申命記 15:7
If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them.
「在耶和華你神所賜你的地上，無論哪一座城裡，你弟兄中若有一個窮人，你不可忍著心、揝著手不幫補你窮乏的弟兄。
馬太福音 25:37
- 40
"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?
When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
義人就回答說：『主啊，我們什麼時候見你餓了，給你吃，渴了，給你喝？
什麼時候見你作客旅，留你住，或是赤身露體，給你穿？
又什麼時候見你病了，或是在監裡，來看你呢？』
王要回答說：『我實在告訴你們，這些事你們既做在我這弟兄中一個最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。』

耶穌出來，見有許多的人，就憐憫他們，治好了他們的病人。
天將晚的時候，門徒進前來，說：「這是野地，時候已經過了，請叫眾人散開，他們好往村子裡去，自己買吃的。」
耶穌說：「不用他們去，你們給他們吃吧！」
門徒說：「我們這裡只有五個餅，兩條魚。」

約翰福音 6:55
- 59
For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever."
He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.
我的肉真是可吃的，我的血真是可喝的。
吃我肉、喝我血的人常在我裡面，我也常在他裡面。
永活的父怎樣差我來，我又因父活著；照樣，吃我肉的人也要因我活著。
這就是從天上降下來的糧。吃這糧的人就永遠活著，不像你們的祖宗吃過嗎哪還是死了。」
這些話是耶穌在迦百農會堂裡教訓人說的。
