馬太福音 1:1
This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah1:1Or Jesus Christ. Messiah(Hebrew) and Christ(Greek) both mean Anointed One; also in verse 18. the son of David, the son of Abraham:

Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli,
耶穌開頭傳道，年紀約有三十歲。依人看來，他是約瑟的兒子；約瑟是希里的兒子；

馬太福音 1:17
Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.
這樣，從亞伯拉罕到大衛共有十四代；從大衛到遷至巴比倫的時候也有十四代；從遷至巴比倫的時候到基督又有十四代。
