出埃及記 22:2 - 3
"If a thief is caught breaking in at night and is struck a fatal blow, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed; but if it happens after sunrise, the defender is guilty of bloodshed. "Anyone who steals must certainly make restitution, but if they have nothing, they must be sold to pay for their theft.

羅馬書 13:4

But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.' "Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."
耶穌回答說:「有一個人從耶路撒冷下耶利哥去,落在強盜手中。他們剝去他的衣裳,把他打個半死,就丟下他走了。 偶然有一個祭司從這條路下來,看見他就從那邊過去了。 又有一個利未人來到這地方,看見他,也照樣從那邊過去了。 惟有一個撒瑪利亞人行路來到那裡,看見他就動了慈心, 上前用油和酒倒在他的傷處,包裹好了,扶他騎上自己的牲口,帶到店裡去照應他。 第二天拿出二錢銀子來,交給店主,說:『你且照應他;此外所費用的,我回來必還你。』 你想,這三個人那一個是落在強盜手中的鄰舍呢?」 他說:「是憐憫他的。」耶穌說:「你去照樣行吧。」

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
但保惠師,就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈,他要將一切的事指教你們,並且要叫你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。
