以弗所書 4:18
They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.
他們心地昏昧，與神所賜的生命隔絕了，都因自己無知，心裡剛硬；

In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: " 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. 在他們身上，正應了以賽亞的預言，說：你們聽是要聽見，卻不明白；看是要看見，卻不曉得；

Why, Lord, do you make us wander from your ways and harden our hearts so we do not revere you? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes that are your inheritance.
耶和華啊，你為何使我們走差離開你的道，使我們心裡剛硬、不敬畏你呢？求你為你僕人，為你產業支派的緣故，轉回來。
創世記 6:5
