申命記 17:17
He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold.
他也不可為自己多立妃嬪，恐怕他的心偏邪；也不可為自己多積金銀。

提摩太前書 3:12
A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well.
執事只要作一個婦人的丈夫，好好管理兒女和自己的家。

創世記 35:23 - 26
The sons of Leah: Reuben the firstborn of Jacob, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar and Zebulun. The sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin. The sons of Rachel's servant Bilhah: Dan and Naphtali. The sons of Leah's servant Zilpah: Gad and Asher. These were the sons of Jacob, who were born to him in Paddan Aram.
利亞所生的是雅各的長子流便，還有西緬、利未、猶大、以薩迦、西布倫。拉結所生的是約瑟、便雅憫。拉結的使女辟拉所生的是但、拿弗他利。利亞的使女悉帕所生的是迦得、亞設。這是雅各在巴但亞蘭所生的兒子。

出埃及記 21:10
If he marries another woman, he must not deprive the first one of her food, clothing and marital rights.
若另娶一個，那女子的吃食、衣服，並好合的事，仍不可減少。

列王記上 11:3
He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray.
所羅門有妃七百，都是公主；還有嬪三百。這些妃嬪誘惑他的心。

申命記 21:15 - 17
If a man has two wives, and he loves one but not the other, and both bear him sons but the firstborn is the son of the wife he does not love, when he wills his property to his sons, he must not give the rights of the firstborn to the son of the wife he loves in preference to his actual firstborn, the son of the wife he does not love. He must acknowledge the son of his unloved wife as the firstborn by giving him a double share of all he has. That son is the first sign of his father's strength. The right of the firstborn belongs to him.
「人若有二妻，一為所愛，一為所惡，所愛的、所惡的都給他生了兒子，但長子是所惡之妻生的。到了把產業分給兒子承受的時候，不可將所愛之妻生的兒子立為長子，在所惡之妻生的兒子以上，卻要認所惡之妻生的兒子為長子，將產業多加一分給他；因這兒子是他力量強壯的時候生的，長子的名分本當歸他。」

箴言 18:22
He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.
得著賢妻的，是得著好處，也是蒙了耶和華的恩惠。

馬太福音 5:32
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
只是我告訴你們，凡休妻的，若不是為淫亂的緣故，就是叫他作淫婦了；人若娶這被休的婦人，也是犯姦淫了。」

哥林多前書 7:2
But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.
但要免淫亂的事，男子當各有自己的妻子；女子也當各有自己的丈夫。

提摩太前書 3:2
Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
作監督的，必須無可指責，只作一個婦人的丈夫，有節制，自守，端正，樂意接待遠人，善於教導；

路加福音 16:18
"Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
凡休妻另娶的就是犯姦淫；娶被休之妻的也是犯姦淫。」

創世記 4:19
Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah.
拉麥娶了兩個妻：一個名叫亞大，一個名叫洗拉。

創世記 2:24
That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
因此，人要離開父母，與妻子連合，二人成為一體。

馬太福音 19:3 - 9
Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?" "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'19:5Gen. 2:24 ? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." "Why then," they asked, "did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?" Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery."
有法利賽人來試探耶穌，說：「人無論什麼緣故都可以休妻嗎？」耶穌回答說：「那起初造人的，是造男造女，並且說：『因此，人要離開父母，與妻子連合，二人成為一體。』這經你們沒有念過嗎？既然如此，夫妻不再是兩個人，乃是一體的了。所以，神配合的，人不可分開。」法利賽人說：「這樣，摩西為什麼吩咐給妻子休書，就可以休他呢？」耶穌說：「摩西因為你們的心硬，所以許你們休妻，但起初並不是這樣。我告訴你們，凡休妻另娶的，若不是為淫亂的緣故，就是犯姦淫了；有人娶那被休的婦人，也是犯姦淫了。」

撒母耳記下 12:8
I gave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more.
我將你主人的家業賜給你，將你主人的妻交在你懷裡，又將以色列和猶大家賜給你；你若還以為不足，我早就加倍地賜給你。

以弗所書 5:33
However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
然而，你們各人都當愛妻子，如同愛自己一樣。妻子也當敬重他的丈夫。

以弗所書 5:31
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
為這個緣故，人要離開父母，與妻子連合，二人成為一體。

提多書 1:6
An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient.
若有無可指責的人，只作一個婦人的丈夫，兒女也是信主的，沒有人告他們是放蕩不服約束的，就可以設立。

彼得前書 3:1
Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,
你們作妻子的要順服自己的丈夫；這樣，若有不信從道理的丈夫，他們雖然不聽道，也可以因妻子的品行被感化過來；
