你們要先求他的國和他的義，這些東西都要加給你們了。

傳道書 2:22 - 23
What do people get for all the toil and anxious striving with which they labor under the sun? All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless.
人在日光之下勞碌累心，在他一切的勞碌上得著什麼呢？因為他日日憂慮，他的勞苦成為愁煩，連夜間心也不安。這也是虛空。

約翰福音 6:27
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval."
不要為那必壞的食物勞力，要為那存到永生的食物勞力，就是人子要賜給你們的，因為人子是父神所印證的。」

傳道書 5:15
Everyone comes naked from their mother's womb, and as everyone comes, so they depart. They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands.
他怎樣從母胎赤身而來，也必照樣赤身而去；他所勞碌得來的，手中分毫不能帶去。

馬太福音 13:44 - 46
"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
「天國好像寶貝藏在地裡，人遇見了就把他藏起來，歡歡喜喜的去變賣一切所有的，買這塊地。天國又好像買賣人尋找好珠子，遇見一顆重價的珠子，就去變賣他一切所有的，買了這顆珠子。
