箴言 18:12
Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.
敗壞之先，人心驕傲；尊榮以前，必有謙卑。

箴言 22:4
Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life.
敬畏耶和華心存謙卑，就得富有、尊榮、生命為賞賜。

馬太福音 23:12
For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
凡自高的，必降為卑；自卑的，必升為高。

詩篇 25:9
He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
他必按公平引領謙卑人，將他的道教訓他們。

路加福音 1:52
He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.
他叫有權柄的失位，叫卑賤的升高；

路加福音 18:14
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."
我告訴你們，這人回家去比那人倒算為義了；因為，凡自高的，必降為卑；自卑的，必升為高。」

雅各書 4:6
But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."
但他賜更多的恩典，所以經上說：神阻擋驕傲的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。

歷代志下 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
這稱為我名下的子民，若是自卑、禱告，尋求我的面，轉離他們的惡行，我必從天上垂聽，赦免他們的罪，醫治他們的地。

箴言 3:34
He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed.
他譏誚那好譏誚的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。

以賽亞書 66:2
Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the Lord. "These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.
耶和華說：這一切都是我手所造的，所以就都有了。但我所看顧的，就是虛心（原文作貧窮）痛悔、因我話而戰兢的人。

馬太福音 11:29
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
我心裡柔和謙卑，你們當負我的軛，學我的樣式；這樣，你們心裡就必得享安息。

箴言 11:2
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
驕傲來，羞恥也來；謙遜人卻有智慧。

箴言 15:33
Wisdom's instruction is to fear the Lord, and humility comes before honor.
敬畏耶和華是智慧的訓誨；尊榮以前，必有謙卑。

馬太福音 18:1 - 4
At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
當時，門徒進前來，問耶穌說：「天國裡誰是最大的？」耶穌便叫一個小孩子來，使他站在他們當中，說：「我實在告訴你們，你們若不回轉，變成小孩子的樣式，斷不得進天國。所以，凡自己謙卑像這小孩子的，他在天國裡就是最大的。
