馬太福音 14:18

"Bring them here to me," he said.
And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
耶穌說：「拿過來給我。」
於是吩咐眾人坐在草地上，就拿著這五個餅，兩條魚，望著天祝福，擘開餅，遞給門徒，門徒又遞給眾人。
他們都吃，並且吃飽了；把剩下的零碎收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。
約翰福音 12:25
Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
愛惜自己生命的，就失喪生命；在這世上恨惡自己生命的，就要保守生命到永生。
士師記 7:19

Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands.
The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the jars. Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, "A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!"
基甸和跟隨他的一百人，在三更之初才換更的時候，來到營旁，就吹角，打破手中的瓶。
三隊的人就都吹角，打破瓶子，左手拿著火把，右手拿著角，喊叫說：「耶和華和基甸的刀！」
以斯帖記 4:15

Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai:
"Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."
以斯帖就吩咐人回報末底改說：
「你當去招聚書珊城所有的猶大人，為我禁食三晝三夜，不吃不喝；我和我的宮女也要這樣禁食。然後我違例進去見王，我若死就死吧！」
約翰福音 12:24
Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
我實實在在的告訴你們，一粒麥子不落在地裡死了，仍舊是一粒，若是死了，就結出許多子粒來。
約翰福音 12:32

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."
He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.
我若從地上被舉起來，就要吸引萬人來歸我。」
耶穌這話原是指著自己將要怎樣死說的。
出埃及記 17:6
I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.
我必在何烈的磐石那裡，站在你面前。你要擊打磐石，從磐石裡必有水流出來，使百姓可以喝。」摩西就在以色列的長老眼前這樣行了。
