Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. Saying 16
你心中不要嫉妒罪人，只要終日敬畏耶和華；因為至終必有善報，你的指望也不至斷絕。

箴言 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
敬畏耶和華是智慧的開端；認識至聖者便是聰明。

詩篇 34:11 - 14
Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
眾弟子啊，你們當來聽我的話！我要將敬畏耶和華的道教訓你們。有何人喜好存活，愛慕長壽，得享美福，就要禁止舌頭不出惡言，嘴唇不說詭詐的話。要離惡行善，尋求和睦，一心追趕。

箴言 22:4
Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life.
敬畏耶和華心存謙卑，就得富有、尊榮、生命為賞賜。

詩篇 115:13
he will bless those who fear the Lord- small and great alike.
凡敬畏耶和華的，無論大小，主必賜福給他。

箴言 8:13
To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
敬畏耶和華在乎恨惡邪惡；那驕傲、狂妄，並惡道，以及乖謬的口，都為我所恨惡。

箴言 14:26 - 27
Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death.
敬畏耶和華的，大有倚靠；他的兒女也有避難所。敬畏耶和華就是生命的泉源，可以使人離開死亡的網羅。
