箴言 6:16

There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
My son, keep your father's command and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
耶和華所恨惡的有六樣,連他心所憎惡的共有七樣:
就是高傲的眼,撒謊的舌,流無辜人血的手,
圖謀惡計的心,飛跑行惡的腳,
吐謊言的假見證,並弟兄中布散分爭的人。
我兒,要謹守你父親的誡命;不可離棄你母親的法則(或作:指教),
彼得前書 3:10

For, "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.
They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
因為經上說:人若愛生命,願享美福,須要禁止舌頭不出惡言,嘴唇不說詭詐的話;
也要離惡行善;尋求和睦,一心追趕。
因為,主的眼看顧義人;主的耳聽他們的祈禱。惟有行惡的人,主向他們變臉。
腓立比書 4:8

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
弟兄們,我還有未盡的話:凡是真實的、可敬的、公義的、清潔的、可愛的、有美名的,若有什麼德行,若有什麼稱讚,這些事你們都要思念。
你們在我身上所學習的,所領受的,所聽見的,所看見的,這些事你們都要去行,賜平安的神就必與你們同在。
彌迦書 6:10

Am I still to forget your ill-gotten treasures, you wicked house, and the short ephah, which is accursed?
Shall I acquit someone with dishonest scales, with a bag of false weights?
Your rich people are violent; your inhabitants are liars and their tongues speak deceitfully.
惡人家中不仍有非義之財和可惡的小升斗嗎?
我若用不公道的天平和囊中詭詐的法碼,豈可算為清潔呢?
城裡的富戶滿行強暴;其中的居民也說謊言,口中的舌頭是詭詐的。
雅各書 1:22

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror
and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it-not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it-they will be blessed in what they do.
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
只是你們要行道,不要單單聽道,自己欺哄自己。
因為聽道而不行道的,就像人對著鏡子看自己本來的面目,
看見,走後,隨即忘了他的相貌如何。
惟有詳細察看那全備,使人自由之律法的,並且時常如此,這人既不是聽了就忘,乃是實在行出來,就在他所行的事上必然得福。
若有人自以為虔誠,卻不勒住他的舌頭,反欺哄自己的心,這人的虔誠是虛的。
在神我們的父面前,那清潔沒有玷污的虔誠,就是看顧在患難中的孤兒寡婦,並且保守自己不沾染世俗。
歌羅西書 3:9

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices
and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
不要彼此說謊;因你們已經脫去舊人和舊人的行為,
穿上了新人。這新人在知識上漸漸更新,正如造他主的形像。
帖撒羅尼迦前書 4:6
and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before.

You must have accurate and honest weights and measures, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

But to the wicked person, God says: "What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips?
You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.

以賽亞書 33:15

Those who walk righteously and speak what is right, who reject gain from extortion and keep their hands from accepting bribes, who stop their ears against plots of murder and shut their eyes against contemplating evil-
they are the ones who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. Their bread will be supplied, and water will not fail them.
行事公義、說話正直、憎惡欺壓的財利、擺手不受賄賂、塞耳不聽流血的話,閉眼不看邪惡事的,
他必居高處;他的保障是磐石的堅壘;他的糧必不缺乏(原文作賜給);他的水必不斷絕。
以弗所書 4:28
Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
從前偷竊的,不要再偷;總要勞力,親手做正經事,就可有餘分給那缺少的人。
帖撒羅尼迦前書 4:11
and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you,

So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
你這個人,為什麼論斷弟兄呢?又為什麼輕看弟兄呢?因我們都要站在神的臺前。
經上寫著:主說:我憑著我的永生起誓:萬膝必向我跪拜;萬口必向我承認。
這樣看來,我們各人必要將自己的事在神面前說明。
以弗所書 4:25
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.
所以你們要棄絕謊言,各人與鄰舍說實話,因為我們是互相為肢體。
羅馬書 12:17

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.
On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
不要以惡報惡;眾人以為美的事要留心去做。
若是能行,總要盡力與眾人和睦。
親愛的弟兄,不要自己伸冤,寧可讓步,聽憑主怒(或作:讓人發怒);因為經上記著:「主說:『伸冤在我;我必報應。』」
所以,「你的仇敵若餓了,就給他吃,若渴了,就給他喝;因為你這樣行就是把炭火堆在他的頭上。」
你不可為惡所勝,反要以善勝惡。
羅馬書 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
不要效法這個世界,只要心意更新而變化,叫你們察驗何為神的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意。
腓立比書 4:8

哥林多後書 4:2
Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.
乃將那些暗昧可恥的事棄絕了;不行詭詐,不謬講神的道理,只將真理表明出來,好在神面前把自己薦與各人的良心。
哥林多後書 7:2
Make room for us in your hearts. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have exploited no one.
你們要心地寬大收納我們。我們未曾虧負誰,未曾敗壞誰,未曾佔誰的便宜。
