When they came together in Galilee, he said to them, "The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men.
They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life." And the disciples were filled with grief.
After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, "Doesn't your teacher pay the temple tax?"
"Yes, he does," he replied. When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. "What do you think, Simon?" he asked. "From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes-from their own children or from others?"
"From others," Peter answered. "Then the children are exempt," Jesus said to him.
"But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours."
他們還住在加利利的時候，耶穌對門徒說：「人子將要被交在人手裡。
他們要殺害他，第三日他要復活。」門徒就大大的憂愁。
到了迦百農，有收丁稅的人來見彼得，說：「你們的先生不納丁稅（丁稅約有半塊錢）嗎？」
彼得說：「納。」他進了屋子，耶穌先向他說：「西門，你的意思如何？世上的君王向誰徵收關稅、丁稅？是向自己的兒子呢？是向外人呢？」
彼得說：「是向外人。」耶穌說：「既然如此，兒子就可以免稅了。
但恐怕觸犯（觸犯：原文作絆倒）他們，你且往海邊去釣魚，把先釣上來的魚拿起來，開了他的口，必得一塊錢，可以拿去給他們，作你我的稅銀。」
馬太福音 20:18

"We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death
and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!"
「看哪，我們上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交給祭司長和文士。他們要定他死罪，
又交給外邦人，將他戲弄，鞭打，釘在十字架上；第三日他要復活。」
馬可福音 9:1
And he said to them, "Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power."
耶穌又對他們說：「我實在告訴你們，站在這裡的，有人在沒嘗死味以前，必要看見神的國大有能力臨到。」
約翰福音 16:16
Jesus went on to say, "In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me."
「等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我。」

從此，耶穌才指示門徒，他必須上耶路撒冷去，受長老、祭司長、文士許多的苦，並且被殺，第三日復活。

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me.

At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it.
For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
See, I have told you ahead of time.
"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the wilderness,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.
那時，若有人對你們說：『基督在這裡』，或說：『基督在那裡』，你們不要信！
因為假基督、假先知將要起來，顯大神蹟、大奇事，倘若能行，連選民也就迷惑了。
看哪，我預先告訴你們了。
若有人對你們說：『看哪，基督在曠野裡』，你們不要出去！或說：『看哪，基督在內屋中』，你們不要信！
馬太福音 25:1
"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
「那時，天國好比十個童女拿著燈出去迎接新郎。
馬太福音 26:13
Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."
我實在告訴你們，普天之下，無論在什麼地方傳這福音，也要述說這女人所行的，作個紀念。」

Jesus replied, "The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me.
The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born."
Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, "Surely you don't mean me, Rabbi?" Jesus answered, "You have said so."
耶穌回答說：「同我蘸手在盤子裡的，就是他要賣我。
人子必要去世，正如經上指著他所寫的；但賣人子的人有禍了！那人不生在世上倒好。」
賣耶穌的猶大問他說：「拉比，是我嗎？」耶穌說：「你說的是。」
馬可福音 13:5

Jesus said to them: "Watch out that no one deceives you.
Many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and will deceive many.
耶穌說：「你們要謹慎，免得有人迷惑你們。
將來有好些人冒我的名來，說：『我是基督』，並且要迷惑許多人。
馬可福音 16:17

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
信的人必有神蹟隨著他們，就是奉我的名趕鬼；說新方言；
手能拿蛇；若喝了什麼毒物，也必不受害；手按病人，病人就必好了。」
路加福音 18:31

Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, "We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.
He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him and spit on him;
they will flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again."
耶穌帶著十二個門徒，對他們說：「看哪，我們上耶路撒冷去，先知所寫的一切事都要成就在人子身上。
他將要被交給外邦人，他們要戲弄他，凌辱他，吐唾沫在他臉上，
並要鞭打他，殺害他；第三日他要復活。」

Once more Jesus said to them, "I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come."
耶穌又對他們說：「我要去了，你們要找我，並且你們要死在罪中。我所去的地方，你們不能到。」

I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
我又告訴你們，從東從西，將有許多人來，在天國裡與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各一同坐席；
惟有本國的子民竟被趕到外邊黑暗裡去，在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。」

Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners.
Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!"
於是來到門徒那裡，對他們說：「現在你們仍然睡覺安歇吧（吧：或作嗎？）！時候到了，人子被賣在罪人手裡了。
起來！我們走吧。看哪，賣我的人近了。」
約翰福音 13:33
"My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come.
小子們，我還有不多的時候與你們同在；後來你們要找我，但我所去的地方你們不能到。這話我曾對猶太人說過，如今也照樣對你們說。
約翰福音 21:18

Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go."
Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, "Follow me!"
Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, "Lord, who is going to betray you?")
When Peter saw him, he asked, "Lord, what about him?"
Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me."
Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?"
我實實在在的告訴你，你年少的時候，自己束上帶子，隨意往來；但年老的時候，你要伸出手來，別人要把你束上，帶你到不願意去的地方。」
（耶穌說這話是指著彼得要怎樣死，榮耀神。）說了這話，就對他說：「你跟從我吧！」
彼得轉過來，看見耶穌所愛的那門徒跟著，（就是在晚飯的時候，靠著耶穌胸膛說：「主啊，賣你的是誰？」的那門徒。）
彼得看見他，就問耶穌說：「主啊，這人將來如何？」
耶穌對他說：「我若要他等到我來的時候，與你何干？你跟從我吧！」
於是這話傳在弟兄中間，說那門徒不死。其實，耶穌不是說他不死，乃是說：「我若要他等到我來的時候，與你何干？」
馬太福音 10:34
"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
「你們不要想我來是叫地上太平；我來並不是叫地上太平，乃是叫地上動刀兵。
馬太福音 12:39
- 53
He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here.
The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.
"When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order.
Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."
While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him.
Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you."
He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?"
Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers.
For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."
耶穌回答說：「一個邪惡淫亂的世代求看神蹟，除了先知約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他們看。
約拿三日三夜在大魚肚腹中，人子也要這樣三日三夜在地裡頭。
當審判的時候，尼尼微人要起來定這世代的罪，因為尼尼微人聽了約拿所傳的就悔改了。看哪，在這裡有一人比約拿更大！
當審判的時候，南方的女王要起來定這世代的罪，因為他從地極而來，要聽所羅門的智慧話。看哪！在這裡有一人比所羅門更大。」
「污鬼離了人身，就在無水之地過來過去，尋求安歇之處，卻尋不著。
於是說：『我要回到我所出來的屋裡去。』到了，就看見裡面空閒，打掃乾淨，修飾好了，
便去另帶了七個比自己更惡的鬼來，都進去住在那裡。那人末後的景況比先前更不好了。這邪惡的世代也要如此。」
耶穌還對眾人說話的時候，不料他母親和他弟兄站在外邊，要與他說話。
有人告訴他說：「看哪，你母親和你弟兄站在外邊，要與你說話。」
他卻回答那人說：「誰是我的母親？誰是我的弟兄？」
就伸手指著門徒，說：「看哪，我的母親，我的弟兄。
凡遵行我天父旨意的人，就是我的弟兄姐妹和母親了。」
馬太福音 24:1
Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings.
耶穌出了聖殿，正走的時候，門徒進前來，把殿宇指給他看。
馬太福音 24:4

Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you.
For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many.
耶穌回答說：「你們要謹慎，免得有人迷惑你們。
因為將來有好些人冒我的名來，說：『我是基督』，並且要迷惑許多人。
馬可福音 9:31
because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, "The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise."
於是教訓門徒，說：「人子將要被交在人手裡，他們要殺害他；被殺以後，過三天他要復活。」
馬可福音 11:12

The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry.
Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs.
Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it.
第二天，他們從伯大尼出來，耶穌餓了。
遠遠的看見一棵無花果樹，樹上有葉子，就往那裡去，或者在樹上可以找著什麼。到了樹下，竟找不著什麼，不過有葉子，因為不是收無花果的時候。
耶穌就對樹說：「從今以後，永沒有人吃你的果子。」他的門徒也聽見了。
馬可福音 14:8

She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial.
Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."
他所做的，是盡他所能的；他是為我安葬的事把香膏預先澆在我身上。
我實在告訴你們，普天之下，無論在什麼地方傳這福音，也要述說這女人所做的，以為記念。」
路加福音 12:40

You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
Peter asked, "Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everyone?"
The Lord answered, "Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time?
It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns.
Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
But suppose the servant says to himself, 'My master is taking a long time in coming,' and he then begins to beat the other servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk.
The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.
"The servant who knows the master's will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows.
But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
"I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!
But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed!
Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.
From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three.
They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."
你們也要預備；因為你們想不到的時候，人子就來了。」
彼得說：「主啊，這比喻是為我們說的呢？還是為眾人呢？」
主說：「誰是那忠心有見識的管家，主人派他管理家裡的人，按時分糧給他們呢？
主人來到，看見僕人這樣行，那僕人就有福了。
我實在告訴你們，主人要派他管理一切所有的。
那僕人若心裡說：『我的主人必來得遲』，就動手打僕人和使女，並且吃喝醉酒；
在他想不到的日子，不知道的時辰，那僕人的主人要來，重重的處治他（或作：把他腰軋了），定他和不忠心的人同罪。
僕人知道主人的意思，卻不預備，又不順他的意思行，那僕人必多受責打；
惟有那不知道的，做了當受責打的事，必少受責打；因為多給誰，就向誰多取；多托誰，就向誰多要。」
「我來要把火丟在地上，倘若已經著起來，不也是我所願意的嗎？
我有當受的洗還沒有成就，我是何等的迫切呢？
你們以為我來，是叫地上太平嗎？我告訴你們，不是，乃是叫人分爭。
從今以後，一家五個人將要分爭：三個人和兩個人相爭，兩個人和三個人相爭；
父親和兒子相爭，兒子和父親相爭；母親和女兒相爭，女兒和母親相爭；婆婆和媳婦相爭，媳婦和婆婆相爭。」
路加福音 13:24

"Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.
Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'
"Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'
"But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!'
"There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.
People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.
Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last."
At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, "Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you."
He replied, "Go tell that fox, 'I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.'
In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day-for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem!
"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.
Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.' "
耶穌對眾人說：「你們要努力進窄門。我告訴你們，將來有許多人想要進去，卻是不能。
及至家主起來關了門，你們站在外面叩門，說：『主啊，給我們開門！』他就回答說：『我不認識你們，不曉得你們是那裡來的！』
那時，你們要說：『我們在你面前吃過喝過，你也在我們的街上教訓過人。』
他要說：『我告訴你們，我不曉得你們是那裡來的。你們這一切作惡的人，離開我去吧！』
你們要看見亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各，和眾先知都在神的國裡，你們卻被趕到外面，在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。
從東、從西、從南、從北將有人來，在神的國裡坐席。
只是有在後的，將要在前；有在前的，將要在後。」
正當那時，有幾個法利賽人來對耶穌說：「離開這裡去吧，因為希律想要殺你。」
耶穌說：「你們去告訴那個狐狸說：『今天、明天我趕鬼治病，第三天我的事就成全了。』
雖然這樣，今天、明天、後天，我必須前行，因為先知在耶路撒冷之外喪命是不能的。
耶路撒冷啊！耶路撒冷啊！你常殺害先知，又用石頭打死那奉差遣到你這裡來的人。我多次願意聚集你的兒女，好像母雞把小雞聚集在翅膀底下，只是你們不願意。
看哪，你們的家成為荒場留給你們。我告訴你們，從今以後你們不得再見我，直等到你們說：『奉主名來的是應當稱頌的。』」
路加福音 23:28

Jesus turned and said to them, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children.
For the time will come when you will say, 'Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!'
Then " 'they will say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!" ' ote style="f" caller="+"> 23:30 Hosea 10:8
For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?"
耶穌轉身對他們說：「耶路撒冷的女子，不要為我哭，當為自己和自己的兒女哭。
因為日子要到，人必說：『不生育的，和未曾懷胎的，未曾乳養嬰孩的，有福了！」
那時，人要向大山說：倒在我們身上！向小山說：遮蓋我們！
「這些事既行在有汁水的樹上，那枯乾的樹將來怎麼樣呢？」
約翰福音 4:23
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
時候將到，如今就是了，那真正拜父的，要用心靈和誠實拜他，因為父要這樣的人拜他。」

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.
差我來者的意思就是：他所賜給我的，叫我一個也不失落，在末日卻叫他復活。

"Leave her alone," Jesus replied. "It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.
You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me."

因為常有窮人和你們同在，只是你們不常有我。」

"Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

馬太福音 21:33

"Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.
When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.
"The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third.
Then he sent other servants to them, more than the first time, and the tenants treated them the same way.
Last of all, he sent his son to them. 'They will respect my son,' he said.
"But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him and take his inheritance.'
So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
"Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?"
"He will bring those wretches to a wretched end," they replied, "and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time."
Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: " 'The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes' ote style="f" caller="+"> 21:42 Psalm 118:22,23 ?
"Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed."
「你們再聽一個比喻：有個家主栽了一個葡萄園，周圍圈上籬笆，裡面挖了一個壓酒池，蓋了一座樓，租給園戶，就往外國去了。
收果子的時候近了，就打發僕人到園戶那裡去收果子。
園戶拿住僕人，打了一個，殺了一個，用石頭打死一個。
主人又打發別的僕人去，比先前更多；園戶還是照樣待他們。
後來打發他的兒子到他們那裡去，意思說：『他們必尊敬我的兒子。』
不料，園戶看見他兒子，就彼此說：（這是承受產業的。來吧，我們殺他，佔他的產業！』
他們就拿住他，推出葡萄園外，殺了。
園主來的時候要怎樣處治這些園戶呢？」
他們說：「要下毒手除滅那些惡人，將葡萄園另租給那按著時候交果子的園戶。」
耶穌說：「經上寫著：匠人所棄的石頭已作了房角的頭塊石頭。這是主所做的，在我們眼中看為希奇。這經你們沒有念過嗎？
所以我告訴你們，神的國必從你們奪去，賜給那能結果子的百姓。
誰掉在這石頭上，必要跌碎；這石頭掉在誰的身上，就要把誰砸得稀爛。」
馬太福音 23:34

Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.
And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation.
"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.
Look, your house is left to you desolate.
For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.' "
所以我差遣先知和智慧人並文士到你們這裡來，有的你們要殺害，要釘十字架；有的你們要在會堂裡鞭打，從這城追逼到那城，
叫世上所流義人的血都歸到你們身上，從義人亞伯的血起，直到你們在殿和壇中間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止。
我實在告訴你們，這一切的罪都要歸到這世代了。」
「耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常殺害先知，又用石頭打死那奉差遣到你這裡來的人。我多次願意聚集你的兒女，好像母雞把小雞聚集在翅膀底下，只是你們不願意。
看哪，你們的家成為荒場留給你們。

He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again.
從此，他教訓他們說：「人子必須受許多的苦，被長老、祭司長，和文士棄絕，並且被殺，過三天復活。」

They were on their way up to Jerusalem, with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished, while those who followed were afraid. Again he took the Twelve aside and told them what was going to happen to him.
"We are going up to Jerusalem," he said, "and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles,
who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise."
他們行路上耶路撒冷去。耶穌在前頭走，門徒就希奇，跟從的人也害怕。耶穌又叫過十二個門徒來，把自己將要遭遇的事告訴他們說：
「看哪，我們上耶路撒冷去，人子將要被交給祭司長和文士，他們要定他死罪，交給外邦人。
他們要戲弄他，吐唾沫在他臉上，鞭打他，殺害他。過了三天，他要復活。」

As Jesus was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!"

At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it.

So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.
"But in those days, following that distress, " 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

"At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
那時若有人對你們說：『看哪，基督在這裡』，或說：『基督在那裡』，你們不要信！
因為假基督、假先知將要起來，顯神蹟奇事，倘若能行，就把選民迷惑了。
你們要謹慎。看哪，凡事我都預先告訴你們了。」
「在那些日子，那災難以後，日頭要變黑了，月亮也不放光，
眾星要從天上墜落，天勢都要震動。
那時，他們（馬太二十四章三十節是地上的萬族）要看見人子有大能力、大榮耀，駕雲降臨。
他要差遣天使，把他的選民，從四方（方：原文作風），從地極直到天邊，都招聚了來。」
路加福音 9:22

And he said, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life."
Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.
又說：「人子必須受許多的苦，被長老、祭司長、和文士棄絕，並且被殺，第三日復活。」
耶穌又對眾人說：「若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，天天背起他的十字架來跟從我。
因為，凡要救自己生命（生命：或作靈魂；下同）的，必喪掉生命；凡為我喪掉生命的，必救了生命。
約翰福音 4:21
"Woman," Jesus replied, "believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
