約伯記 5:17

"Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
For he wounds, but he also binds up; he injures, but his hands also heal.
From six calamities he will rescue you; in seven no harm will touch you.
神所懲治的人是有福的！所以你不可輕看全能者的管教。
因為他打破，又纏裹；他擊傷，用手醫治。
你六次遭難，他必救你；就是七次，災禍也無法害你。
希伯來書 12:9

Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!
They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.
再者，我們曾有生身的父管教我們，我們尚且敬重他，何況萬靈的父，我們豈不更當順服他得生嗎？
生身的父都是暫隨己意管教我們；惟有萬靈的父管教我們，是要我們得益處，使我們在他的聖潔上有分。
約伯記 11:13
- 16
"Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him,
if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent,
then, free of fault, you will lift up your face; you will stand firm and without fear.
You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by.
你若將心安正，又向主舉手；
你手裡若有罪孽，就當遠遠的除掉，也不容非義住在你帳棚之中。
那時，你必仰起臉來毫無斑點；你也必堅固，無所懼怕。
你必忘記你的苦楚，就是想起也如流過去的水一樣。
希伯來書 12:5
- 6
And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son."
你們又忘了那勸你們如同勸兒子的話，說：我兒，你不可輕看主的管教，被他責備的時候也不可灰心；
因為主所愛的，他必管教，又鞭打凡所收納的兒子。
