希伯來書 8:13
By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.
既說新約。就以前約為舊了；但那漸舊漸衰的，就必快歸無有了。
耶利米書 31:33
"This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time," declares the Lord. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.
But God found fault with the people and said : "The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.
那前約若沒有瑕疵，就無處尋求後約了。
所以主指著他的百姓說（或作：所以主指前約的缺欠說）：日子將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新約，
希伯來書 9:11

But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation.
He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.
The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean.
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance-now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
但現在基督已經來到，作了將來美事的大祭司，經過那更大更全備的帳幕，不是人手所造、也不是屬乎這世界的；
並且不用山羊和牛犢的血，乃用自己的血，只一次進入聖所，成了永遠贖罪的事。
若山羊和公牛的血，並母牛犢的灰，灑在不潔的人身上，尚且叫人成聖，身體潔淨，
何況基督藉著永遠的靈，將自己無瑕無疵獻給神，他的血豈不更能洗淨你們的心（原文作良心），除去你們的死行，使你們事奉那永生神嗎？
為此，他作了新約的中保，既然受死贖了人在前約之時所犯的罪過，便叫蒙召之人得著所應許永遠的產業。

For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance-now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

耶利米書 31:31

"The days are coming," declares the Lord, "when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.
It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,31:32Or was their master " declares the Lord.
"This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time," declares the Lord. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the Lord. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
耶和華說：「日子將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新約，
不像我拉著他們祖宗的手，領他們出埃及地的時候，與他們所立的約。我雖作他們的丈夫，他們卻背了我的約。這是耶和華說的。」
耶和華說：「那些日子以後，我與以色列家所立的約乃是這樣：我要將我的律法放在他們裡面，寫在他們心上。我要作他們的神，他們要作我的子民。
他們各人不再教導自己的鄰舍和自己的弟兄說：『你該認識耶和華』，因為他們從最小的到至大的都必認識我。我要赦免他們的罪孽，不再記念他們的罪惡。這是耶和華說的。」
耶利米書 31:31

羅馬書 7:6
But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
但我們既然在捆我們的律法上死了，現今就脫離了律法，叫我們服事主，要按著心靈（心靈：或作聖靈）的新樣，不按著儀文的舊樣。

希伯來書 8:6
But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.
如今耶穌所得的職任是更美的，正如他作更美之約的中保；這約原是憑更美之應許立的。
