雅各書 1:2 - 4
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
我的弟兄們，你們落在百般試煉中，都要以為大喜樂；因為知道你們的信心經過試驗，就生忍耐。但忍耐也當成功，使你們成全、完備，毫無缺欠。

箴言 17:3
The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the Lord tests the heart.
鼎為煉銀，爐為煉金；惟有耶和華熬煉人心。

哥林多前書 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
你們所遇見的試探，無非是人所能受的。神是信實的，必不叫你們受試探過於所能受的；在受試探的時候，總要給你們開一條出路，叫你們能忍受得住。

羅馬書 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
在指望中要喜樂，在患難中要忍耐，禱告要恆切。

羅馬書 5:3
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
不但如此，就是在患難中也是歡歡喜喜的；因為知道患難生忍耐，

雅各書 1:12
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
忍受試探的人是有福的，因為他經過試驗以後，必得生命的冠冕，這是主應許給那些愛他之人的。

腓立比書 4:14
Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.
然而，你們和我同受患難原是美事。

約伯記 23:10
But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
然而他知道我所行的路；他試煉我之後，我必如精金。

希伯來書 10:36
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
你們必須忍耐，使你們行完了神的旨意，就可以得著所應許的。

使徒行傳 14:22
strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said.
堅固門徒的心，勸他們恆守所信的道；又說：「我們進入神的國，必須經歷許多艱難。」

哥林多後書 1:8 - 9
We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
弟兄們，我們不要你們不曉得，我們從前在亞西亞遭遇苦難，被壓太重，力不能勝，甚至連活命的指望都絕了；自己心裡也斷定是必死的，叫我們不靠自己，只靠叫死人復活的神。

以賽亞書 48:10
See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
我熬煉你，卻不像熬煉銀子；你在苦難的爐中，我揀選你。

帖撒羅尼迦前書 3:3
so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. For you know quite well that we are destined for them.
免得有人被諸般患難搖動。因為你們自己知道我們受患難原是命定的。

彼得前書 1:6 - 7
In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
因此，你們是大有喜樂；但如今，在百般的試煉中暫時憂愁，叫你們的信心既被試驗，就比那被火試驗仍然能壞的金子更顯寶貴，可以在耶穌基督顯現的時候得著稱讚、榮耀、尊貴。

彼得前書 4:12 - 13
Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
親愛的弟兄啊，有火煉的試驗臨到你們，不要以為奇怪（似乎是遭遇非常的事）倒要歡喜；因為你們是與基督一同受苦，使你們在他榮耀顯現的時候，也可以歡喜快樂。

帖撒羅尼迦前書 3:7
Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.
所以弟兄們，我們在一切困苦患難之中，因著你們的信心就得了安慰。
